The money limit in fifa 11 is also 2.147B. Jagex could make bills, bonds, or checks. I think they will once the inflation becomes more realized.

Right now spirit shards are being used as an alternative currency, each one being worth 24-25gp. However, raising the maximum limit would only be a temporary solution.

Splitting the discontinued items would allow more to be put into the game while also making low enough in price to trade on the Grand Exchange.

Why not make a platinum coin or something, it would cost the max cash cap.

Because it will be like another high priced item, like the partyhat. You couldn't spend say like 10m or 100m from it to buy other stuff so it would be more of an item rather than currency because all you can do is trade it for GP.

Then instead of making coin be max coins, make it 1 plat coin = 100m or so? A firm price set and never goes up/down

All primitive integer types in java are signed.

You've misunderstood how primitive data types are handled; compiled code containing references to fields of all primitive types can be executed on any machine capable of supporting the JVM, so a 32-bit machine is capable of utilizing longs in java.

Why dont they make it unsigned? i cant think of a reason they need the -ve numbers.
New max limit would be 0 to 2^32-1
or 0 to 4,294,967,295. Not that much greater tbh lol

    Oh. :embar:

Then why is it that companies always recommend downloading the proper bit-width for your system? For example, why there are 32bit and 64bit versions of Photoshop?

I had always thought it would be a good idea to make all rares buy able at Diango. Make them a price to where not just anyone could buy them. Make them ALL available and ALL cost a flat rate of 100 Mill. This would make them available to get for everyone and in turn take rsgp out of the economy. Hopefully making the rsgp worth more.

imo splitting it would only make them richer...it may decrease the value at first..but eventually it all of them will still go up...and most phat owners dont sell their shit in ge.

They cant, 2,147,483,647 is the highest number possible in Java programs. Which RuneScape is a Java program. ;)

I see this as the best, easiest solution to the max cash issue.

Think of it like this, when you go from 9999k to 10000k the coin stack changes to green and it simply says 10M. Imagine if when you deposited enough coins to make it 1000m it went to a platinum coin (or something other than GP). Then lets say you had 900m and you added it to you bank where there was 500m already it would just become 1 platinum coin and 400m.

This idea would never work, because the RuneScape economy is not like the stock market. Let's put it this way, the actual number of an item in game has absolutely no effect on the price of the item. For instance, there could easily be more blue partyhats than any other color partyhat, except the only thing that actually matters is the perception people have of them. The actual number of blue phats is a moot point, the only thing that matters is that people think there are less blue phats than any other color, thus they're the most expensive.

The same would be true of this idea. Sure, Jagex could multiply every rare in the game, but the perception would still be exactly the same, thus changing nothing. People would try to buy them for less saying there are more of them, and perhaps some would sell them, but in the long term, it would do nothing but make the rich richer.

the thing is that i dont get is, why does jagex only make it a 2b cash stack you can have? like why woudent they make it more and just change the color as it goes into the billions? im sure most runescapers would prefer than than having to upgrade or downgrade in order to have there stuff.....but idk just my opinion.

i really like this idea, that way they wouldent have to mess with java much like making it above the 2b cash stack it would most likly be alot better. i think that would help the more rich side of runescape.

I think that the OP has a great idea, effectly turning phats into 25% of there price allowing some normal members to finally own one...although they would no longer be so "rare"
