Specify about RSBuddy Upgrades

So I've seen several threads asking/advertising RSbuddy Bot Premium Upgrades (specifically iDungeon Pro), and I have always reported them without really knowing what the official policy on this is (the threads have been closed by Market Mods). I know that under the rules, it says "No Auth Trading," but could we perhaps have some clarification for RSBuddy bots (since they don't use Auth Codes)?

What I am suggesting is ammending this rule...

•Trading auth codes: Auth codes from RSBots.net, autofighter and similar

to this...

•Selling/Transfering Bots: including Auth codes (from RSBots.net, autofighter and similar) and Upgrades (from RSBuddy, Powerbot and similar)

It would be nice for it to be changed.

But it is against the rules to do upgrades for rsbuddy (idungeon) or anything of that sort. Just report it.

 

Support. There is always a grey area if the rules dont say it so why not put it in.

 

I personally see no reason people shouldn't offer RSBuddy upgrades as a service. It's essentially like Nick's currency service--a lot of people don't have the ability to pay on Google, so they can offer GP or Paypal as an alternative to someone who does have a Google account. RSBuddy licenses are much less easy to use in a scam than NeXus auths.

 

No support because of this reason, not much else to say but i do see whatt your guys points are for wanting this.. but still, no support.

 

Agreed these should be allowed to be traded because auths you can get banned etc.

 

It appears as though it is allowed? Many members in the "Other Services" Section of the Runescape Market are saying that it is an approved suggestion.

If it is allowed, please edit the rules so that you make it clear.

 

I see no reason why we can see upgardes like this. Reason why auths for Rsbot.net are not allowed to be sold is they can be stolen and leaked around. Upgardes like iDung Pro for Rsbuddy require you to log in the Rsbuddy account of the Buyer and upgrade it individually. Cannot be stolen or leaked around.

I actually agree with you. Plus, it is highly inconvenient for people who want to purchase iDung that don't have a credit card. The only reason I suggest prohibiting them to be added to the rules, is that not having a rule that states whether or not they are allowed is confusing.

Yes, I think that's all that's needed. RSBuddy only accepts payments through Google Checkout, currently. As I said above, it really doesn't matter to me whether they are allowed or not; it would just be helpful for us to have a rule which makes it clear whether they are allowed or not.

 

Yes, that's it basically. Many users don't have credit cards so that's why they use this service.

 

Yes about the credit card, and you need the person's RSBuddy account (just like knowing the password for a Runescape upgrade). Knowing their password is kind of meaningless, though. Also, Google Checkout offers 100% fraud payment protection for virtual items, meaning charging back Google won't result in a revoked auth.

It should be allowed. There's no telling when RSBuddy is gonna start accepting PayPal. As long as trusted people are doing it, I have no issue at all.

I got to pay via paypal on powerbot luckily.. Do you have to buy it again since its moved to RSB?

No reason this shouldnt be allowed. I payed with google checkout after logging into the customers rsbuddy forum account and they were online using the bot within 5 minutes. I had no access to the auth code at all either so far.

This isn't auth trading, this is auth buying.

 

I agree that's not reselling. It's just being something like a brocker/3rd party

 

I wish they were aloud, I'd def buy some RSBuddy scripts for RSGP.

 

They are allowed, unless someone can come up with a valid reason to disallow them
