Spoiler/hide tag

Several other forums have a "Spoiler" or "Hide" Tag that puts a button where the text would be, and when you click the button the text or other content appears. (The button is "Show" and "Hide", It operates both ways)


It Is possible with our VB version, In fact (thank you) here is the add on!!!

Common (And my suggested) Uses for these include:
* Large Images
(ESP ones that distort the forum. EX. http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1141896 )
(At at least one forum i use, large images must be inside of the spoiler tag.)

* Different sections of tutorials or other information.

* Punchlines

* Account Shops

I believe the addition of a [hide] tag would be of great use to many Sythe forum posters.

 

I support, would be a useful feature, Sythe is one of the rare forums I've seen that doesn't have it.

Maybe there's a good reason.

 

It would be a cool addition when making threads. Support

 

Not really needed or extremely helpful, its a good suggestion but I'm not really into it.

It would really be helpful, and much easier to have this, I support It would save many unrelated pictures to be opened.

 

It would be amazing, but I don't think the version of forums we have, can support it?

 

I'm fairly certain we'd have to update to a newer version of vBulletin for this, and I can tell you without a doubt that it won't happen.

Support. It seems that it can be done without a major update, so why not?

 

Support. Hate when I have to wait to load all the pictures of a thread.

 

Support, its actually very useful for organizing large threads as well.

Support. Helps organize large threads especially ones that have lots of large images. Would also help gold sellers and other merchants on this site as they would be able to put their vouches under a spoiler in their shop thread, amoung other uses.

support. would also like it to be a rule if you got more than 5 pictures put them in there, so for people who dont got fast computers dont freeze their comp.

 

I dont know exactly how the code is made, It might preload the pictures whether or not they show. Or it might not. preferably not though.

the other forum i was referring to makes it a rule to use spoilers if your picture is large enough to distort the forum table, My picture above distorts the forum unless your monitor is bigger than the picture.

Needed for graphics section, mainly.
Also adding code like the following:
[spoiler=Image 1]image link[/spoiler] Would help a lot, where the "Image 1" would be the text displayed on the spoiler button.
