Greater Variety of Sectional Moderator Positions

I think, in order to keep active and increase activity, sections like WoW, Graphics, SFA, PSA, Community, and Programming should have a sectional moderator dedicated to the section or at least a global assigned to create activity in the section. I think this is especially important in section like GFX and programming, which have in the past been much more active under a moderator. It might also be helpful to assign a moderator to answer PSA and tech support questions now that CA/UE has been removed.

 

I can understand this but my problem is

1. Do they have the staff to do this.
2. Are there members who they would promote to take up these roles there and are they able to do the job?
3. Are the staff not over staffed anyway?

The interest isnt there for the sections. But mods for specific sections would be good so the mods can get through sections faster and go to Report a scammer/spammer reports faster.

 

WoW - Pureown was
Graphics - Has recently been removed
SFA - Was removed?
PSA - Gohan Was
Community - Was removed
Programming - Was removed, Jimmy was.

I'm pretty sure this is on the DNS list?

 

More moderators is on the DNS. I am suggesting a greater variety of mods, not necessarily more.

1. I'm sure members can be found.
2. Definitely and yes.
3. Not really...how could they be "over staffed"? If we had 50 moderators doing amazing jobs I doubt we would be "over staffed".

 

I still think Personal Support and other Help sections should be moved to their own section as well as bringing back guides.

Overall, yeah, I think some of those sections can be revitalized under assigned, dedicated globals, or perhaps under new modship.

 

The staff will promote people when we are ready and believe there is someone available to fill a specific role.
