First registered runescape player

I was just thinking, I wonder who the first ever registered RS player was back in 2001. And what was he thinking while playing? Like the world must've been so...empty. What would you have done if you were the very first registered player?

I'd be thinking:

"Alright, I think we've established whose in charge here."

 

I'd just run around naked DDSing trees.

 

Other people would have joined pretty fast tbh.

Everyone would have been low lvl so they would have all been running around in the same area anyway.

 

Yea that must have sucked everyone is the same level so your all trying to do the same thing >.>

 

I'm going to have to agree with you on this.

 

It must have been a really annoying time when nothing was available to buy, people didn't have money to buy stuff, and no one knew the fastest way to train.

 

Pretty sure the rs world was much much smaller then. Don't think it would be that empty.. and the first players were probably Andrew/paul and their irl friends lol.

 

I imagine it would be fun running around like idiots with other people trying to find out what to do

 

I had a chat the other day to the 17th (Also owns the 18th and 19th) player on runescape. I'm not going to say how I contacted him but he wouldn't sell his account (It's banned btw).

I'll ask him what he did when he joined .

Anyway, I'd probably just run around aimlessly, not knowing what to do =S.

 

They would of had some tutorial or guide eh?

I guarantee the first, second, third and probably up to 20-30 were Andrew and Paul's characters, testing it out, etc. If you mean who was the first player other than Andrew or Paul, it would most likely have been their close friends who were let in on the project. If you're talking about people who just joined to play a game, they really weren't first at all, and there was probably a large group of people who all joined close to the same time, so it's somewhat impossible to know/tell.

Walking around like a lost kid trying to figure out how to do everything. It would be weird though seeing there is nobody on. Would have probably signed out after a few minutes.

When I first started playing rs I was searching the site trying to find a single player version lol. I think the other people in there would of had enough to keep them entertained at the time.
