How do merchants do it??!?

I wanted to get into merchanting, but i haven't done it since like 06', everyone who has a phat tells me its from merchanting. What the hell are they doing to make so much money like that. I have 22m left.....what should i do?

 

well if you are wanting a phat then its going to take a while. try merching sapphires. they are going up due to a possible update for beginning of july.

 

the probably "flip stuff" I can do this for 1m/hr+ with around 40m

well for most things, the equips have a limit of 10 so divide your money by 10 and do anything that sells under that.
less common items are better but make sure they buy/sell quick so you are not stuck with them.

 

I heard that claws can be merched, not sure tho. U suggest anything barrows or something i can equip?

 

I merch dragon bones, and made like 1m every night with 100m.

Bought them like 100gp lower than I'd sell em, was alright money I guess.

 

You can really flip anything. some for a positive and some for a negative profit. the more money you have, the better.

 

You obviously don't know much about flipping. You can't really get negative profit unless the item is seriously unstable or rarely traded through the ge.

I've made over 250m flipping and flipped over a few thousand trades. I have only lossed profit once, just very recently I held on to frost bones for like 10 minutes while they were crashing and lossed around 30k or so. when I would usually make around 100k. thats about it though. virtually no risk.

 

hmmm any suggestions right now, I bought soul runes this morning a fair amount. However; I would like to know a few better items to flip or something that may rise in the future

Flipping is where it's at. I can make between 300k-1m In 5 minutes.

 

Instead of flipping for 1M/hr, you might as well just get a job or earn some money through PTC/GPT sites for more $/hr. That's how I think a lot of the people do it, they just buy the gold and buy the phat.

 

Yeah but that takes the fun out of it. It no longer becomes a game at that point.

 

Like said many times before, flipping is the new merchanting. The big difference? In merchanting everybody buys the same item, hoping that it will go up. Flipping is different; you try to find your own item that hopefully nobody else is flipping because that's where the biggest profit is at.

 

Flipping pretty much died with Free Trade.
Unless you really know what you're doing and have private items/methods.

 

Astrals are usually great money. And everyone seems to forget about them. But if you look at the GE graph you will see why it is so easy to make cash off of them. I usually buy up about 100k of them everytime there near 120 each and then resell when they hit 128-130 each. Nice easy way to make some cash.
