Someone already mentioned that Sythe needs more active members.

This is true, Sythe gets lots of guests visits, but we do not have many active members.

What do I suggest is, that Sythe should advertise on Google Ads and maybe in other places (such as Facebook).

In this way, we would get more new members, and with this flow new active members would come.

Yes, this would cost some money, but I think more people would donate if this case would happen.

More people would support Sythe advertising itself. Plus, more newcomers would come, so, it means another extra donations for Sythe.

Moreover, if you want to have your own Sythe referral link, copy and add your Sythe id number (not username) :

    http://sythe.org/register.php?referrerid=[Your Sythe ID]

    Thanks.

I think it's more in the interest of Sythe if activity on Runescape picks up.

People will gravitate toward here more if more people play Runescape in the first place.

True, but for example even corupted powerbot has so many active members, it says something.

Then again I think promoting and introducing Runescape to new players is out of our hands... so if we did want to help Sythe activity, advertising is pretty much the only way to go.

I just feel it'd be pretty ineffective.

We don't need to create a bot, people know that powerbot are taking accounts, so maybe we could drive them over to sythe.

Or if we could afford it, just simply buy powerbot, kill off the free bots, then just keep the community, shifting them over here.

P_anic, true, but many people on powerbot are interested in RuneScape news, market, and many people on powerbot never heard about Sythe.

We, just need to advertise, no need to create extra things, everything is okay.

Besides the fact that I think Sythe neither has the funds nor the motivation to buy out Powerbot, what you say will happen naturally as Powerbot dies out anyway.

We can only influence it by attempting to steal those ex-Powerbot members from the other Runescape blackmarket sites.

Well sythe would have to spend alot of money on advertising but we don't really know if that money will come back in donations, I think about 75% of the members here have not donated to Sythe.

Do you have any specific places where an ad could be advertised?

    Prices?

We can save some time to the admins... if they eventually accept the idea.

Google AdWords one of the best places to advertise, if needed we can advertise somewhere elsewhere too.

On AdWords you are paying for clicks.

But where are those ads gonna be placed?

Just as Sythe sells space to sites, not via an ads program, we can do it in other sites... similar.

It is Google Ads, Sythe would be advertised wherever Google Ads code is placed.

You can choose where do you want to advertise your website, for example in gaming forums.

Just get more information about Google AdWords.

Google ads always ends up targeting the wrong audiences from what I have seen in the past. To be hones almost everyone involved in some sort of Runescape community has heard of Sythe and probably visited sythe. The problem we face is getting those members to register. I think that google ads would be a waste of money really. No support. Plus there is nothing stopping us from going out and advertising sythe on our own right now.

Not really. An another good way to advertise would be Facebook, but this would be a choice after Google Ads.

It is a RuneScape blackmarket forum, this will be provided in a banner, not hard to understand.
