What Color Mustang Should I get? (Part 2)

I know man, I wouldn't mind getting a stick at all but it's just my parents won't let me. Considering it's my first car and I'm 16. Besides if I were to learn would it take lots of practice.

 

if you can keep the car clean and wash it almost every week, get black. and if not get grey. the black is better, but its just harder to keep clean, and if im right the black is manual transmission.

It doesn't take all that much practice - there's plenty of lessons online it's actually really simple to do. It's a little weird to start off. but it's something you could learn to do the basics in a matter of 1-3 hours. You never know when in life you may be forced to drive a stickshift and learning while young is the way to go. My first truck (my old 89 ford) was a stick shift and I loved it. I've never gone back and I hate driving automatics.

Talk to your parents about the benefits, stick shifts are generally cheaper than automatics, require less maintenance, and save gas. There's next to no benefit other than convenience for automatic cars.

 

I'll ask it again, how much does either of those Mustangs cost? Not to try to sound forcing but you may be better off with an Eclipse or another foreign sport coupe. I know with Eclipses the automatics also have an electronic shifter, which may interest you. Plus they are more B.A. and less common

 

If you know how to drive stick get that shit, stick is way funner. But if u dont i dont c y you would go through the trouble of learning , auto is easier. So your choice, Easy or Fun.

 

Both have 60k-70k miles and are around $11k.

I'm also afraid if I got stick shift that I'd later regret it and there's no going back but if I got automatic I wouldnt really look back and wish I had gotten stick. Besides I live in a town with lots and lots of intersections and stop signs.

In the end it's your choice, but if you ask any car expert or any professional driver they'll tell you learning stick is a choice you won't regret making.

how are you going to call a stock mustang a muscle car?
i had a 99 ford escort that was as fast as an 05 mustang, mustangs arent muscle cars

Black mustang is a hot boss man shouldn't even have to compare to the color grey .

Driving a stick might sound hard or complicated at first but it's actually easy, youll get used to it like anything else and it's alot funner especially drag racing.

 

Stick shift is where it's at. Get an orange one though so people can see you when you whoop their ass in a race.

 

Both are great. Comes down to personal choice. You should get a stick. There's a reason everybody else in the world drives one. You'll be missing out if you don't.

 

Stick shift is very very easy after awhile. Driving in town sucks but it isn't that hard once your used to it

 

I know a bunch of people who have stick shifts and they love it. Going up hills and traffic isn't fun but it's a cool skill to know.

It all depends on the engine and gear ratio you have. I'm sure if you were to put yourself up against the bigger Mustangs, your escort wouldn't even run a time.

Obviously if it was one of the 4.0 L SOHC V6's it would be a little bit harder for it to outrun you with only 210HP but if for example he had the REAL motor of a mustang he'd be using the 4.6L SOHC V8 pushing about 300HP.

If you were driving an escort assuming you had the largest engine you'd have a 2.0L DOHC (dual overhead cams for those who don't know) that produced approx. 145HP brand new. Unless you had some sort of aftermarket parts (nothing stupid like cold air intakes/exhaust, they don't really add any power) there'd be no way to outrun a Mustang.

Anybody not knowing anything about vehicles can tell you that a vehicles that a vehicle that weighs in at only 1/3 more of the weight of the escort with a minimum of 75HP+, will always outrun the other.

Mustang = Muscle/Performance Vehicle.

 

Just get a manual...
