How to make money on a self-Sufficient account.

I got bored recently and made a self sufficient account. It's pretty fun to play on. My goal is not to use the g.e or trade others or pick items off the ground from other players. Is there anyway to make money by sell f2p stuff to the store?

 

Use high level alchemy. Best way to get some fast coins.

 

i'm on f2p how do I acquire nats?

 

Monster drops.

 

Moss giants drop nature runes often if i can remember correctly, haven't killed one for over 4 years though. Found under verrock sewers

 

Why do you need gp..? Aren't you suppose to be not buying things?

 

He may need to buy pickaxes and hatchets and stuff so he can get the stuff to make what he needs.

I recently made one also, I bot mining, then use the ore for smithing.
currently 55 in both stats with like 1.5k iron banked.

i'm allowing myself to buy things from stores because i'm not p2p. Such as a rune pickaxe.. I can't do the quests to make pickaxes and I can't buy one from the g.e. and monsters in f2p don't drop them.... so how do I make the cash to buy one from the pickaxe store?

 

Cut a bunch of logs or mine some coal. Sell everything to a general store and see how much money you can get from that.

Jeez, playing like that would drive me crazy.

 

I actually think it would be quite entertaining. It gives Runescape a single-player RPG feel (if you can ignore the other players, of course).

 

you get a free pickaxe from bob's axes in lumbridge

and remember, selling an item to a specialty store that sells that item gives you high alchemy price!

 

He's talking about a Rune Pickaxe, not a Bronze.

I'm pretty sure using the stores is OK, since you're not interacting with other players. If it wasn't, how would you get rune armor?

Nice idea.. But not trading other players is hard. there are some threads about this way of playing on the official forums if I remember correctly. Best of luck, but once you get around level 60 in most things you'll grow tired of it I think . That's why high levels used to be so rare. The game is much more fun that way but I would not be able to make it so hard to myself whilst everybody else is gaining exp like crazy. Would however have no objections if the GE disapeared. It removed much of the player to player contact.

 

This whole D.I.Y thing is very interesting... It would definitely revive the game on a personal level, simply clicking buy now has made the game far too easy.
