Help and rate my first ever siggy

Well, i've seen a lot of nice like sigs and i thought id have a crack at making my own

so i dl'd photoshop and had a wack with it, idk how to use it still but hey, what do you think of this?


and any advice on how to find some good tuts?

 

It's ok. But I believe a siggy should have more character. To me it looks like an ordinary bird picture with Dave written on it. It needs more Dave in it. More of yourself.

 

It does look nice man.. But try using adobe after effects to make it more vibrant

You've got a longgg way to go, but don't worry.
There are plenty of tutorials, just make sure you aren't trying to be "pro" at everything in photoshop. Start off with something specific (like effects, text, etc) and stick to that until you get really good at it, and then move on.

 

Thankyou for the advice i shall look into getting good at specific stuff and then bind it all together.

 

It's actually pretty nice considering it's your first.. Personally, better than my first shot. Some advice I can recommend is blending the image to the background more, and perhaps making the text look better, by using nicer fonts, and blending options. Other than that, well done
