Portal and GOW2

Hey, I'm new to Sythe and I just wanted to post a couple of my relatively newer pieces... if you can call it that.

 

I must say I think both of them look great. I'm not the greatest at gfx, but I really cannot offer any advice because they are quite good. You should consider opening up a GFX shop here at sythe, I am sure you could get some good customers. I'd love to see some more of your work sometime.

 

Thanks a lot! I've recently been on a hiatus since I wasn't able to save anything on Photoshop since it would crash whenever I did, so hopefully I can get back to creating other tags.

 

Just out of curiosity, did you do the cube in Cinema 4D? I saw it while I was searching for some Tuts for a friend.

 

These are very good! If you honestly did them on your own, then great job.
I'd keep it up because I see a future for you in GFX.

Thanks! I wouldn't really say there's an actual future (as in a job ), since this is just a hobby.

 

Seeing as I do not C4D I cannot say much about the first piece, though I do tag. The tag is simple and really lacking, it looks more like a work in progress than a tag.

 

Well, I was going for simple. It's not like a dramatic effect is going to be popped onto someone while they're walking in a park during a sunset (which I've seen on a couple of your recent tags...). ._.

 

I see where you are coming from here, but the problem is that the lack of effects cause some things to happen. You can't really discern flow or depth with just a couple of a effects. Which causes it to look like you kinda pasted the render into the BG, I think they used to call it blending. I mean the rules may have changed since I GFXed seriously but it doesn't look very organic.

I know you have done more than just pasted it into a BG but without the effects blending the foreground and the background it looks like a copy and paste job. I mean, maybe it is just me, this is just my opinion and if you are happy with it then my opinion doesn't matter. This was just what I saw from my prospective.

 

Alright, thanks for your input. I'll probably think about what you said when I create future tags similar to this.
