Furthermore, reporting one botter is not going to help you in any way. All it will do is (potentially) get their account banned. There are still thousands and thousands of other botters, ready to take their place. It's pretty much a pointless practice.

 

Also I heard from a few people, when reporting someone for Macrowing, your account get looks into aswell. Im not too sure how true that is though.

 

Judging by the huge amount of reports that must flock in each and every day, I highly doubt Jagex complete an investigation into every account that sends in a report.

The only time I report a botter is when their bot sucks so bad its obvious they are botting (for example a bot walking back and forth from one place to another etc.) I bot so why should I report other botters. I do though really hate goldfarmers in a way but I don't report them.
I never report anyone other than annoying advertisers really xD

 

I dont even waste my time reporting lvl 3 advertisers
They are only gonna make a new level 3 seeing that we dont
need to do tutorial now.

 

When I bot just for exp sake I try to stay away from popular areas at all times.

I don't really care if it takes me a week more to reach a desired level as long as I am not getting in the way of people who are playing legitly.

If there is a botter, level 3, with a name like qqpp74, in a popular area I will repot him.


If someone goes into a popular area with an account above level 30, uses a normal player name I won't report.

 

I can't say I don't like them, because I bot and that would be hypercritical..

But they have a severe effect of the runescape economy which is downhill unfortunately

I only report obv gold 4 rs bots. Or if someones retard botting. And whoever said we're on the same team, we're not. I don't share the gold i make with you and you make my profits less. I'm better off reporting you.

 

so you go out of your way to report players?

 

exactly, its pretty stupid - even if theyr at the same spot as you, or making your bot gain less,, you are still doing no work to get resources/xp.. reporting other botters is just being 2 faced? imo.
(unless your one of them 100% legit players, which i dont think there is many left, then it would be extremely annoying as they spend so much time while we make the same / if not better gains while we sleep)
