    Airsoft Questions

I'm looking to buy my first airsoft gun (I'm 16), and I have come down to 2 choices.

I WILL be getting the Crosman Airsoft Pulse R71 Repeater.

My question is.... which 1 too get....

There are 3 options on Walmart.com....

Option 1: The "see through" one: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Crosman-Airsoft-Pulse-R71-Tac-Repeater/15103410

Option 2: The full black one: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Crosman-Airsoft-Pulse-R71-Repeater-Black/15939524

Option 3: The full black one that is $40 more?:http://www.walmart.com/ip/Crosman-Airsoft-Pulse-R71-Repeater-Black/15939530

Can someone please explain the differences between the 3?

    ALSO:
I was interested in the R73, but my parents will not let me have an airsoft gun, so I am having a friend get it for me. Is the R73 also able to come apart into pieces so I am able to hide it in my locking briefcase? (The R71 does that is why I am so interested).

    So my 2 questions are:

1)Can someone please explain the differences between the 3 R71's?
2)Is the R73 also able to come apart into pieces so I am able to hide it in my locking briefcase?

Well, take a look at the Velocity, anything over 350fps is good. I don't suggest getting those because they have low FPS.

If you looking for good airsoft guns, look at www.trinityairsoft.com

I just just started Airsoft , and it all depends on hwere you play - Indoors have differanyt rules ro outdoors in FPS terms, I play indoors and we have a 395FPS limit, and outdoor is 520fps.

The guns you have listed are peices of shit, Like actually 200fps? That's reallly slow for an airsoft gun.

You'll want a Full metal replica gun, these will last longer , And are wayyy more powerful.

Id have to highly agree with this, dont even bother wasting your money on a gun with less then 350fps max.

If you aren't too far into your purchase yet I could help you out a bit. I have about $3000 into this sport. I have been into it about 2 years now.

First off make sure you get and wear FULL SEAL ANSI goggles. Not snowboarding ones, those usually don't have the ballistic properties to protect your eyes. I would recommend the Flackjacks.

DO NOT get Crossman. Those are junk. Go with an Echo 1 as a starter. It's going to be around $200 but well worth it. Those guns you listed are worthless and will tear up after a few uses.

Use Midcap magazines. If you get an Echo 1 you will need these. I have never gone through all 8 of mine in a game and that's games with 50 people on each team. See if you cant find single ones 4-6 would probably be good. They hold about 100 bbs per mag. The hicaps that hold like 500 are junk and its a pain in the ass to wind them up. Half the time they don't work right. Then you will need a battery and charger for the gun get a 9.6v and the highest MAH you can afford. Make sure its a SMALL Tamiya, large will not plug into a small.

If you are going to get gear DO NOT get a cross draw vest. I would recommend for a starter a Condor MOLLE CIRAS. These wont come with pouches you will need to buy them separate but then you can buy the pouches you need and put them where you want. Don't go with black gear, that does nothing for you camouflage wise. Some black here and there is fine though.

If and when you really get into it start buying real military issued items. Like EAGLE, MSA, Gentex, Propper, etc. It will hold up a hell of a lot better than condor.

    The sites I use are
redwolfairsoft.com (china, shipping is a bitch)
    evike.com
    airsoftgi.com

If you have any questions just pm me and I will do my best to help you.

It is an airsoft gun, not a real one, so your parents should not be mad, I am having those since childhood, now bought some steel bullets.

The first one looks best and could fit in your locker probably.

    DON'T GET THOSE.

the 200 fps will shoot light weight bb's like 30 feet.

    I reccomend at least 350 preferablly 400+.

And youse .20 gram bb's instead, there more accurate.

My friend bought those walmart guns and they broke and sucked in like a week.

yea as long as you dont get a walmart gun. Ive bought a walmart gun or 2 and they did work ok though, but they were spring and in general arent as good.
but no need to buy a full metal replica that will cost a good bit of money. I would just get something that shoots like 350 to 400 fps and that your not forking over a lot of cash for
