ppl who 'give their acc away' Old Time Elf for example

Ok so here's the point,
the new way of scamming is saying to ppl that you stop playing runescape,
ppl who do that put their stuff on another acc en go walking around the GE.
so they say they quit etc. then they ask a player with a lot of nice armour and stuff: "do you want to have it?" here's my pass and login name...
Just don't fall for it ppl, they wait four days and recover it... So they hope you have put all your stuff in their bank...

So what to do about this?
Do what I did with that kind of ppl.
1: destory their house
2: delete all their important quest items
3: just try to delete the whole bank (that will take some time to get it all back)
4: change name (like in my case it was Old Time Elf, and i changed it to Vlaamse L and i made it a male character, etc, etc)

Just be sure that they will kind of regret it

I would just ... go all out spamming to a mod and try to get it banned, give it a bankpin and mess up his skiills lol.

 

Id just take his i.p and try to know the most info i can and keep trying to recover saying your dad bought this account for you then GF ACCOUNT.///

 

yeah safest thing to do is suicide bot it in something with a high cash reward value but high ban rate as well, xfer money before u get banned and win

Or just continue to play the account that you actually own.
Quitting shouldn't be as celebrated as it is.
People usually just get mad that they're not getting the items from the person.

 

I received a new account that way today, but I was wary of it, lol, I wasn't about to put any of my stuff on it, or pay for membership for it. I'm just going to wait it out and see what happens. Though I've already cleared the friend's list.

 

This is what I would do lmao.
If the stats are nice, why not take advantage over it by making some $$.

But the risk is, if he recovered it overnight and the bot turned off accidentally, the gp you made is in loss. There is a 50 50 chance.

i tried setting bankpin but yeah they recovered it before it got set
and next time i'll bot like for ever on it haha that would have been a good plan but if they recover it they can appeal the ban so what's the point?

 

Not bad, it always annoys me when people try to do this, and then once you think they've forgotten about it they recover it. this has happened to a few friends of mine, I tell them not to believe these people but they always do :S.

 

Some one attempted this on me, a while back. the acc they gave had about 300k worth of items on it, i just transfered all of that to my account left it for a week, and the pass had been changed

Just simply not take it, if you do all those stuff to it, your bad as well.

 

Suicide bot rune sudoku and xfer cash every few hours

 

If sudoku is even profitable anymore with the rune prices so low =/

 

Someone did this, i usually check the account to see what was happening on it; one had a pin for 2 more days so i was going to leave on an autoclicker until the pin was sdeleted and transfer the stuff, but then i only had a trial version and it stopped. I also got another one with 5m so i toook all the stuff off, and then 5 mins later it was recoverd lol

 

Good idea! However, two wrongs dont make a right :/ Its better to just not do anything with it except maybe try and get it banned, becuse it is scamming.

 

I wouldn't say this was exactly a new idea. As above, two wrongs do not make a right, you are best to decline the account and stay out of trouble.

 

maybe it's wrong... but still they deserve it. otherwise they will keep doing it...
