How will Fagex link accounts? Found a minor bug.

I recently found a minor flaw in some thing on RS which could make me couple of 100 mils. I know it's not much, but this is the first time I have discovered a minor bug. I'm not planning to make this public yet, until I have made some good money off of it. Problem is, the flaw/bug is kind of a bit risky, so I will get reported for doing this and probably get banned. Planning to do this on my new account I just created for the sole purpose of this. But I'm sure my main will get ban hammered for doing this as Jagex wouldn't really tolerate for what I'll do.
Do NOT PM me asking for this as I'm not sharing with any one else yet. Only me and an irl friend of mine knows about this. Probably some others too who found it out them selves.
If you don't believe what I just said above, then don't. I don't really care. Just let me know what precautions should I take that jagex won't be able to link my main to my new account to abuse it.

How do I make sure they(fagex) won't be able to link my new account for bug abuse to my main? Does fagex only check IP Addresses or something else also?

 

Try doing it from a different computer

If I did it from this computer and just changed the internet connection, any chance of being linked to my main? No trade history between the two accounts.

 

They will probably not IP ban you just because of one account that was banned for bug abusing. Jagex doesn't even link accounts b

If you want to be safe then go to a friends house or a coffee shop.

 

If you can get 100's of millions off of it, i suggest using a VPS.

Yeah, definitely use a VPS or go to a family members house, or a friends house and use their internet connection and computer to do whatever you need. Just make sure you aren't using your home internet connection and IP (even though I think you could reset your IP in 30 seconds by a restart), just make sure to be safe with it.

 

Agreed. It would suck to have all this money, then get banned. Be safe, and then wait like a week or two and trade it over

What if I tried this on my home computer? Just changed the internet connection? that means the IP address also gets changed. Could they still link me by my Computer/Mac Id what ever it is??

Has any one ever been banned by jagex checking their computer id ?
I would do it at my friends house but he also doesn't want to risk his main. Library/cafe all these are not my things. My parents would be like WTF is wrong with you, cause I never go to these kind of places :x

 

They WONT ban your account because its the same IP
they WILL ban any accounts you transfer the duped items to

do it on your main and just don't tell anyone. If it ever gets out they will figure out which ones are duped. TBH I wouldn't take the chance. they ALWAYS trace back duped stuff to anyone you traded with.

dont trade your friends the duped stuff unless they know the punishment.

they will ban any accounts that you trade the duped items to so be careful.

Use a VPS and don't directly trade the gold between the two accounts. This should lower your risk.

 

alternative to a vps, install sun virtualbox and run your virtual machine through a proxy.
