The collective approach means that everyone should be active with their opinions on matters, or nobody will ever get pardoned.
I personally believe that either more staff need to be active in that section, or you should return to the administrative decisions with sectional/global input.

If a staff member doesn't post, its a silent show of no support.

I understand that, but there are a couple with reasonable support that are supported by a couple staff that I feel should be accepted, and it's clear that all staff aren't viewing.
Do you have access to a statistic for how many sectionals actually read the section thoroughly?

I suppose posting of "no support" would help then.
It doesn't take long, and it at least shows attention

    High Pardons

I have to be honest, after reading a few High Pardons it does seem deserted. In spite of the fact only 4 out of the 14 threads weren't answered, the High Pardon seems a bit unnecessary really.

A guy scams another for 200m and some other one for another 100m rsgp then he requests a "High Pardon". How can you trust such a guy in the future? People don't change in a day nor in a week.
I do understand the "ban evasion" high pardons because once a guy is addicted to a certain site/game, it's very hard to be without it for a certain period of time. Especially when he/she spent much time on it.

Other ban appeals or "high pardons" seem very unnecessary unless are written a few months from the moment the member was banned.

I think if a staff member doesn't post then they might not know how to voice their opinion, feel like its not their place or just FireZ said: shows a silent No Support

Alot of high pardons are basicly disputed for a ban just because they haven't served a ban for long.

I'd agree that more staff should at least post a "No support" to at least show that they read it, or at least acknowledge it was posted.

It does seem a bit deserted.

An absence of support is essentially the equivalent of no support. Staff will indeed post if they support a certain pardon. Going through every pardon request where we feel indifferent just to post that we don't have an opinion or support it is unnecessary and frivolous.

Ideally, every staff member would post in every pardon. But that would also not be practical. I do agree we need a better method, however.

I'm pretty sure a lot of it is done behind the scenes in the Staff Lounge, but only few will post in the actual pardon.

I doubt each pardon is considered in the staff lounge, way too much effort. Maybe assign a specific pardon mod of the globals who can eliminate the unrealistic ones?

Completely defeats the purpose of a collective approach.

I realized and edited. But the staff must realize the collective approach cannot work unless every staff member reads every thread. Maybe the assigned global or admin could also put some up to a staff vote immediately.

    ^This.
I'm not saying a complete reform one way or the other, but at the moment nobody is going to be pardoned with this system.

I would rather no-one getting pardoned as oppose to scammers/hackers/trolls getting unbanned just because they have gone MIA for over 6 months. I also love that fact that when it gets to the nitty gritty Admins an Global post history and reasons why they are banned just to own them an remind them and the community of why they should remain permed.

If the staff softened up there would be so much more bullshit on this website. That is just my personal opinion.
