Anime section?

I don't see one, am wondering why lol.

 

Not enough anime fans here to start any discussions.

 

The reason you do not see one is because there is probably not enough people interested in anime. I have a feeling if implemented it would just end up being another dead section. I don't see enough topics related to anime to warrant their own specific section. If the general discussion forum was flooded with anime discussion then maybe it could happen, but as of now I do not see this happening.

 

This. If you really want to chat about Anime there is many forums like Sythe dedicated just to Anime.

 

You could even try opening up a thread about it in Off-Topic. Just because there isn't a forum for it doesn't mean you can't talk about it.

 

I would like to see a subsection implemented. It couldn't hurt. Not enough people talk about because they are either embarrassed or don't know where to post it. I think it would be a good addition.

 

Movies / Television Discussion is the best section for anime threads. In fact, there's a couple of them in there already. However, not many of them have proved popular (I count one -and majority of posts in it are made by two people-) and to be honest, if the threads can't stay afloat in a section that already exist, there is no need for a new section dedicated for just those threads.

I do believe that creating a section dedicated for anime would result in an increased amount of posts and threads in that area, for it would gain additional visibility and such. However, this holds true for everything else. If a section for sharing cooking recipes was created, we would see an increase in recipe-related posts.

A section should not be created to make new posts of a subject appear. A section should be created if the subject is already popular within the community, and requires an individual section for itself. In essence, once we see that there's actually a considerable amount of anime threads going around, we should consider creating a section for it.

Honestly, I don't see why Sythe would need to create an "Anime-only Section." Why not just talk about it in one of the Off Topic sections, like the above posters have said?

Honestly this would go nowhere.
My reasoning is that most people that like anime play anime-related games like Gaiaonline or Neopets or w/e, and trading for those games is horribly dead here, meaning that the userbase is dead as well.
I'm not sure how to say "Nobody likes anime" without being a dick, but seriously. Nobody likes anime.

No support. Just use the Movies / Television Discussion section. Like the users above me have stated, I don't think that there will be a lot of activity in that section, unless anime threads start popping up like crazy, the chances are really slim, sorry.

I wouldn't think it would worth it because of the lack of fans. There are other more "general" forums that anime would be perfect in
