    What I mean is, Jagex shouldn't be able to use Sythe as grounds for a ban on Runescape, because in visiting Sythe they are breaching a contract, right? Just like, in a criminal case, you can't submit evidence you found illegaly (by tresspassing, theft, etc).

    I didn't read the entire thread, but I saw a couple posts about the typing in had something to do with it. I find that hard to believe. Typing's client sided, not server sided. The text that shows up after you press enter is server sided.

    quite possibly, but i doubt they would do that as im very small time where as people like R2 and h1j2q3 etc are huge and they seem okay haha but yeah it was a huge shock as i stopped this 4 months ago.

    It is their game, they can ban anyone they want to for whatever reason, they don't have to have 100% legit proof that was not obtained via breaching any TOSs. Also, just to throw out there, in criminal cases illegally obtained evidence can be used as long as it wasn't illegally obtained by the prosecutor, but by a witness or something.

    Plus, if you just do a google search it brings up tons of info on sythe, you can get lots of info on sythe without ever entering the website.

    EDIT: The only thing I can think of in how they connected it to you is if you ever had any of your accounts linked to that email. Otherwise, they probably have ways we don't know about. We need to get someone to go to London and infiltrate Jagex by becoming a J-Mod!
