When is it safe to play on an account?

Recently a rs buddy "gave" me his account. It was fully cleaned etc etc & he was quitting. But yeah, I don't really trust the guy. And I'm afraid he'll just recover as soon as I make some money/skills on it.

So, how long should I wait till it's "safe" for me to play & he won't be able to recover it? Because i aint playing on an acc that's going to get recovered.

    Thanks in regards!

Your concerns are for good reason, he can recover it at any time, the best thing to do with the account if it is better then yours is make money on it, and make sure you x-fer the RSGP every time you log off.

Or just bot on it :) , if it gets banned .. meh might teach him a lesson.

Original IP and original password wins every time, your only hope would be if he moved house. After a undetermined amount of time, you will be able to recovery the account back but this will just result in a tug-o-war over the account.

You can never be sure, you could try changing the name so he can't look at the high scores and figure when he's going to recover it.

He can get it back whenever he feels like it if he has 1st password and original IP. I say bot on it and just xfer the money every night or so. Its a win/win situation.

When is it safe to play on an account?

Set your own recovery questions and register your own email address.

    Wait a month.

    Try a recovery test.

If that fails, I wouldn't bother with the account.

But as suggested above, simply bot on it and transfer the profits.
