Stake Nation

We are going to be TAX FREE for the first week! Hosts will not take 10%. Until we grow larger we will only be able to take wagers around 11AM-7PM Pacific; this will soon change.


What is it?​

Stake nation is a new clan dedicated to allowing F2P players to stake more than 40k safely at the duel arena.

Why?
Currently Jagex restricts any stakes over the value of 40K at the duel arena in F2P worlds, many players that want to stake in F2P have to do it in the wilderness and hope the other player even brought the coins. With a "middleman" or "host" players can set their own rules at the duel arena and still be assured that if they win they will receive their stake. It is also a fun and simpler alternative to P2P staking.

How?
- Simply go to Word 1 Duel Arena and join "Stake Nation" clan chat.
- After you have found another player to stake against you, find a ranked player in the clan chat to host your stake.
- Once both you and your opponent have given the host the amount you guys want to stake you will have to challenge each other and agree on a set of rules (if the two players can't agree on a set of rules they can ask for a refund).
- Then in the arena battle it out with your opponent, the winner will be given the winnings and the host will take 10%.
- The host will check the scoreboard to verify who was the winner.

Issue refunds if the two duelers can't agree on a single set of rules
For the first week of this clan we are going tax free, meaning don't take 10% of the stake pot for yourself
Double check the scoreboard to make sure you give the money to the correct winner---check name & combat of both the winner and loser.
People interested in becoming a host will be told they need to advertise for 12 hours minimum and be active in CC
People are allowed to advertise their own duel rules in cc BUT NOT SPAM​

I think it'd be fun to host, but mostly because I don't have an account that can win duels very well.

I can't believe nobody has done this before...

I feel that should be changed. Players can take forever to agree on rules, this will just waste your time.
"If the players can not agree on a set of rules within X minutes, Host may take X% of the bets before returning the rest"

 

Is there really a large enough amount of F2P stakers to do this?

This is our first day and were already doing 1m+ bets. So I would say yes and it would only become more popular with time.

Well good idea then. I didn't even know there was a staking restriction for F2P.
