Legacy accounts with no e-mail set?

I was checking some low level legacy accounts online and most of them come with no e-mail set or no registered e-mail. What I'd like to know is if I'm going to need to register an e-mail the first time I login or the first time I buy membership on the website. Am I going to have to register an email to start/continue playing if the account doesn't have an email set? Is the the website going to ask me for an email to continue?

 

Runescape is not going to make you if you play the account and never access the website. But to access the website and/or change your password you will need to register it to an email.

No you can still play the account without registering it. I would highly recommend you register it though. Also keep in mind Unregistered accounts do not mean they can not be recovered. All accounts can always be recovered. You can read more about this here. Accounts are ALWAYS recoverable, even Jagex accounts or with a Middleman/Recovery Test!

Also, if the account gets locked and I need to reset the password, is the password reset link email going to be sent to the log in email or am I going to need to do a manual recovery because the account doesn't have a registered email?

. Correct. For membership if you don't do in game bonds purchased with gold in game and use a credit/debit card you will have to register it.

And also correct if account becomes locked it will take a full recovery to unlock it rather then and email sent. Also keep in mind they will send an email by default to the login email if unregistered. So if login email was [email protected] and the email account existed they got an email to change the password and could strap the account.

 

Ok but what if the account got locked and only had the login email and not a registered email? Could I simply reset the password through a password reset link sent to the login email or would I need to do a full recovery?

And what if the password reset link was sent to the login email? Would that email become the registered email because the password had to be changed?
