Another boss rant.

So, when she hired one of the retard dishwashers, a few months ago, they called in "sick" about 30minutes before their shift started.
Boss was pissed off.
Boss (at the next meeting, 2 weeks later) said everyone MUST call in at LEAST 2 hours prior to their shift starting, or they will get a write up(3 and you're gone)

So earlier today, our prep cook called in 1 hour and 30min prior to shift starting.
Boss came in, pissed off.
I asked why she was mad
She said "Everyone always calls when I am sleeping, and when Josh called, he woke me up and said he's not coming in today"
He started at 8am, she started at 8am. He called at 6;30am. So she is mostly mad because he woke her up from her sleep. The last time someone called in sick, and called the work number, I didn't tell the boss until she showed up at work, was trying to be nice and not wake her up. She was pissed at me for doing that.

So I am confused as to why she is pissed off, if that's what she wants us to do.

I work, everyday, at 5am.
I'm going to call her at 3am, and say I'm not coming in.

 

I'd call her, its better you do what she said than let her get some sleep.

 

Sounds like she needs a sexual release.

If she looks too horrifying for you to fulfill that for her, spend a few bucks making a homeless guy look snazzy so he can 'woo' her.

If you do not like this idea, I guess you could try something to drive her over the edge and make her go completely insane:

Hide raw fish EVERYWHERE that she goes in the work place, so she smells it everywhere.

When asked if you smell it, say you do not.

 

Now you're just getting cheeky.. If you know you ain't gonna be making it into work tell her a day prior, atleast.

 

^This. Don't be a douche. Being a boss is harder than it looks, even if it is for a fast food chain or whatnot.

 

If you two knew about my boss, from my other rants about her. You would most defiantly understand where I'm coming from.
She has many double standards.
Doing something right, according to the book Corporate gave us, is wrong.
But doing it her way, is right. Then it's wrong.
She is never understandable. And anything you do, is wrong. Even if you follow HER directions 100%.

Her job as a manager consists of; Yelling at us for stupid shit. Not buying proper equipment to make our jobs NORMAL. Not giving the correct "duties" to the correct job positions. Sitting her dumbass down and doing nothing. Taking a "smoke break" every 20minutes, for 10minutes each. Going to the bathroom every 30minutes. And smoke crack (She has like 5 teeth left, and 4 of them are rotten. She is 29 years old, and blamed her bad teeth on her family - Yet her husband just got out of jail for doing crack.)

 

Find a new job! No need to put yourself through so much annoyance. If your boss bothers you as much as you say, start looking elsewhere! Believe me, you'll be happier Good luck!

Like I said, have sex with her. Then everything you do will be right.

 

It seems like no matter what you do she is going to be upset. If she is a little social maybe tell her your problem and see if she'll change anything?

 

Why not just quit your job? Honestly, if you're that miserable, just find a new job, OR stop complaining and just deal with it.

I had a coworker a while ago who literally complained every day about her job (it was easy), and how she hated it. Yet, day after day she always came to work. It actually makes me mad when I hear people rant all the time, yet they do absolutely nothing about it.

You have 3 options:

1. Talk to her and see if she'll change her ways. Explain to her exactly what she's doing to others.

2. Find a new job.

3. Just deal with it if you aren't going to make an effort to actually change anything.

I'm sorry, I may sound a bit harsh, but I've seen this multiple times, and if people won't stand up for what they think is right, then they have no right to complain in the first place.

1. I have talked to her, and the general manager numerous times. And nothing has been changed. She keeps saying she is going to work on it next week (6months ago) and I remind her daily of the bullshit going on.
2. I am, and have been looking for a new one.
3. I'm not going to deal with it anymore.

I have done everything in my power to explain what is going on, to her and the gm.

When I finally find a new job and quit, I'll be writing a long letter, and emailing it to her, the gm, and the corp office. Letting them know the problems.
And it's not just me who is complaining about her, all the waitresses, and other cooks are as well.

 

Have to attempted to contact Corporate about all these issues? Maybe if the hotel you work at is independently owned you could maybe talk to the operator of the franchise.

You just can't make some people happy.

 

Just explain to her the faultiness of her ideas, make her realise that she needs to decide whether she wants to be woken up or whether she wants later warning, and tell her that she just can't have both. Although, there is the alternative of txting her rather than ringing her..

 

The way I took it was that you hadn't really tried anything, so nevermind that then, haha. In that case, yeah that just kind of sucks, there's not much more you can do other than getting another job. Good luck.

 

My fiancee found a place hiring, for same thing I do.
It's 2.50$ more an hour
So I'm totally going to apply there, printed the application. And going to get it to them by tomorrow.
