Current information:

-They will NOT be entering the wilderness to look for botters.

-They will NOT be entering Soul Wars to look for botters.

-They are targeting Essence botters.

-Random hunts will be launched without notice, only involving Jagex Mods.

-They mentioned that they are searching Powerbot, and ******* for information about us, the botters.

-The event dates can be found on the forums under this quick-find number: 14-15-384-62462908

-The hunters will be bringing equipment, designed to disrupt us, e.g, cannons, markers, etc...

-Locations and tasks that you should AVOID:

-Chopping ivy and other trees
- Killing ghouls near Canifis
- Cooking in Rogues' Den
- Cracking safes in Rogues' Den
- Firemaking outside of banks
- Casting Camelot Tele
- Swamp toads in the Gnome Stronghold
- Fishing in Catherby, Fishing Guild and the Piscatoris Fishing Colony
- Mining essence at Varrock
- Hunting red chinchompas in the Feldip Hills
- Playing SW, SG and PC
- Killing green dragons in the Chaos Tunnels

ADVICE:

-Use an advanced Auto Talker, which can answer questions to do with botting.
-Do not bot during the released event dates - Play legit until all the events have finished.
-bot in an uncommon location, e.g, use an Auto Fighter to kill Skeletons, etc..
-If you join the clan cc for more information ("BAM clan"), make sure you are on the hunting worlds.

-Their advice for catching us, are they really this stupid?

- They have names that make no scence and are 12 characters long for example: L3n38dbd29O0.
- Their highscores are focussed on one/two skills for example: mining only for rune ess bots and combat only for green dragon bots.
- They wear a "set" of default clothes and still have one of the default colours for that set. For example brown hunter clothes and not purple ones.
- Their hair is a strange colour and/or doesn’t usually match their clothes. Males also tend to have beard often.
- They do not wear the "old" clothes. For example a striped shirt and flared trousers.

--More information--

-They do not really have a mod detection system, it is all lies to "scare" us away from using bots. Botters get banned due to player reports. That is why we can bot construction, and dungeoneering all week without a ban - because nobody can see us!

--Message from a filthy Jagex Mod--

"Not only do we catch hundreds of thousands people through our current systems, but people who think they can get away with it just once or twice by popping in-game to bot now have the added risk of bumping into a group of 200 players, 5+ JMods and a load of PMods. Where we go is random, we cover all worlds and people cheating should be worried.

There is no such thing as a 'safe' place to cheat. If you cheat, you're going to get caught. If it's not instant, it will catch up with you".

"indeed, if we get enough people in the SECOND WAVE we will split from the main attack and punish some botters in different places/worlds.

If there are enough JMods, perhaps we can pinch 1 or 2 to join us".

Some more information I found out about why Jagex haven't "patched" botting. This is what they told me guys.

"WE DO NOT RECOMMEND (!) our team to go on botting sites for the simple reason of safty! The sites can contain malicious code!"

This was there reason for not studying the JAVA scripts we run our bots from.

Q&A FROM THE ORGANISER!

1. only 1% of the botters at max know we are coming. If they knew we were coming, they would go offline instantly. We also do random hunts and as seen yesterday Mod Stevew (and I thinka few other mods) were on a secret mission (probably a bot hunt) before the event.

2. I know but doing events in minigames like pest control (or soul wars) would be very hard and doing them in the LRC and ZMI would be impossible because it takes too long to get into a game, and the bots have complex scripts.

3. We don't want people losing stuff because of us(getting hacked etc) by visiting the botter forums. I'd advice to just stay away from those sites.

4. We are doing random hunts during the week and I'd love to do Jmod events during the week but right now I can't because we are still in an early stage and because I can't always be online then. It's something to consider in the future tough.

5.JaGEx already has a group of people who hunt bots on each world. However they use "invisible" Jmod accounts to avoid being noticed and all the "OMFG A JMOD@@@@@" spam that only slows them down.

The view of the owner - he gets it all wrong.. once again?

Safe crack bots are going to be SG bots in a while.

Socerer's garden bots are there for a reason, to make herbs for the main accounts who need it to train herblore for Overload.

Green/blue dragon bots are there to provide bones for the mains so they can use tumoil.

Moneymaking bots are there to provide the main with money so hey can affort the best PK armour.

Ranged guild bots, combat bots and auto-alchers are the main account getting 99 ranged, mage and melee.

The bots are suppost to provide the easy recources for PKers who want to be good in PKing and have the best armour without having to do anything for it. However many people don't do this and sell the herbs etc into the main market causing a crash of the price.

Just look at ranarrs they are 2K each. I remember when they were 10K each. This cannot be caused by anything else but botters at SG.

Also I never tryed a bot, I never considered trying a bot and I never will consider trying a bot because I don't care about money or skills. I play this game because I like it not because I have to be the best at it.

The favorite part of the game to me are quests I love them, if you don't trust me go to Future Updates and ask them about me, they know how obsessed I am with RS lore.

In my opinion botters don't play Runescape, they have someone play runescape for them.

They are going to destroy S Garden completely.. Read below!

The beauty of this suggestion is the vast number of possible variations. For example swap the squirk tree and the herbs - no problem for a real player.

Let the herbs die for a while.

Swap the herbs for a Dust Devil (or similar). Easy for a real player to avoid. When the bot dies it respawns in a pig pen, right where a JMod can deal with it.

New suggestion specifically for Sorceress Summer Garden.

Place a new "notice board" just to the left of the entrance where everybody entering could see that a player was standing in front of it.

When you click on it a standard static captcha comes up.

If you solve it in 10 seconds it moves the 3rd elemental to the square the other side of the hedge at the south most point of her normal beat. This position stops almost everybody, including real players.

Anyone solving the captcha again puts it back to normal.

This requires minimal design, implementation and testing.

If ppl don't like this it could be made a PMod and JMod only ability.


My random solution

Everybody report "ZarosDivine", he is the organiser of the bot hunts. It will make it harder for them to ban us.

Everybody make a new account, just for spamming in common botting spots = delay hunts.


How they report us (FROM A FAGEX MOD)

"I always make a sceeny of the names (15+ names per screeny) and log out after a few and report them in the lobby, because it doesn't have the annoying timer".
