I think it should be mandatory for their email to be shown. It would confuse less when adding others (you wouldnt have to go throught their profile or rely on them having it in their signature) and also weed out vaders.

That being said i know that mods/trusted sellers ect.. some dont like showing their email as they would be flooded with spam, personally i think that just asking staff to have it your email hidden after completing a few small reqs would be a great way to handle things.

I know its "more work" for the mods and staff, but i honestly think that it would weed out a fair amount of trash from the markets.

It will not weed out evaders because they will just make new e-mail addresses once they realize this is being put into effect.

If someone random adds you, google their MSN and you'll find their profile. If Google can't find it, then you can ask them directly. If that doesn't work, I don't know what will.

 

Good point, and yes i realized that they would work their way around it, but again... the idiots would slip up. That being said , the vaders that do lurk and dont share their emails till they have to add someone.. why arnt they making new emails to begin with ?

I don't know why. But if I had to guess, I think it's because they can't be bothered or they only aim to scam newbies on this forum.

Shown where, in their profile? If you're weary of adds that you're not 100% sure of ask for a PM, if they can't do that then it's probably not them.

 

In their profile at a minimum, I am always weary during trades, just sick of pretending i want to buy shit off idiots just to get their emails.. and then pumping a RaS

 

Just ask for a PM then, have them PM you something of your choosing that you give them in the MSN conversation.

 

Do you think i dont know how to PM someone asking for their email. How do you go about this when you are looking thro "other" users goldstores and are in no way needed to deal with these users that you are trying to look up.

No support whatsoever. All of my trades have been done over PM's on sythe. That way i have a complete written record of everything. I'm normally on my personal MSN - and i can't go on two msn's at the same time.
I prefer PM's over sythe.

Not everyone uses msn.
WeR uses Skype only, for example.

And I NEVER check my email.
