Need help on finishing my final exam!!

I'm in need of serious help.
On monday and tuesday i take my last exams, which are Health and Hon. English on monday, Tuesday is Economics and Geometry.
My main problem is Geometry and English. On all of my tests and quizzes, i take the full 90 minutes to finish the test.

On this final exam, my english exam is 200 questions and an essay. I need help on the how the hell i'm supposed to finish this all in 90 minutes. I study, but i don't see me finishing this test in all of that time. I'm not allowed to exceed the 90 minute mark, and anything i don't finish is just incomplete and marked as wrong.

I have the same problem with Geometry. It's 90 questions, and i have no idea how i'm supposed to finish at a 1:1 ratio.

Please don't suggest "studying." I'm already studying all of my material, but i know i won't finish.
My biggest problem is during tests is that if i don't know an answer, i skip it and go to to the next one. Should I change this by just picking whatever answer seems right?

    ugh.

Well, you need to convert the 90 minutes into seconds, and that's 5400 seconds. You then divide it by the number of questions (200) so 5400 / 200 = 27.

So you need to spend approx. half a minute per a question (assuming the question is 1 mark). So then you have about 2 minutes 15 secs for a 5 mark question. And just base your timing around that assumption.
However, then you'll need to incorporate your essay into that, and so I suggest trying to finish the English questions ASAP, because I assume that the English essay gives more marks. Also, if you only have 90 minutes, then it's probably going to be mainly 1 mark questions.

Geometry, you'll just have to go as fast as possible on the 1 mark questions to leave yourself enough time to complete on a 1:1 basis.

On your problem, I suggest that if you don't know an answer, instead of just thinking about it, and then giving up. If you understand it's not easy and doubt you'll get it, just skip it and read the next one. This will save you time in the long run, and means you can slip in some questions at the end.

    Good luck on your exam

You should always have in mind that as hard as it is for you, others are having the same if not more of a problem with the test. It will definitely help you psychologically. People tend to memorize and think more when they are less stressed out, so by thinking what I wrote above, you will hopefully be more sharp during your exams.

    Good luck! :)

    Thank you :)
All of my questions are only one mark, but the essay is more.
My main problem though is skipping the questions. When i come back to it, i usually re-read that question and answer which wastes my time.

Well, i hope this does work. Nobody in my class knows how they're going to finish it all within the time period -_-
    Thank you :)

These questions are probably all multiple choice, my finals are this week as well.

For English, do the Essay first because it's worth the most points, then you'll have to go beast mode on the rest.

If no one finishes, the teachers will grade it on a curve.

We're not allowed to do the essay first, it's multiple choice then essay.
The teacher will probably do a grade curve, she did it last time. But still, i can't rely on a grade curve.

Another thing is, on the subject of going back to questions. Try and bullet point some notes, so maybe you'll have a brainwave when you come back. It's also a lot faster than re-reading it and thinking, etc.

Do you have access to some sort of data base of past year questions?

And, at what level are you taking these courses?

Well that sucks, and to be honest 200 questions and an essay or 90 math questions within a 90 minute period seem almost unfair.

Are you attending some sort of elite school? o_O

Well, then my suggestion would be to look through your math textbook (I'm assuming it has answers to problems in the back). You should be able to find some pattern in terms of answers which come out more frequently with specific problems. Of course it would help if you had access to past year tests, but I guess just flipping through the textbook could help as well.

I wouldn't even know where to begin with the english questions. According to the_dealer's calculations you get 27 seconds per question, not counting the essay... That's barely enough time to read it and register what you're reading.

I can't even fathom what the questions would be about. Are there really 200 different interpretations you can attribute to some selection of Shakespeare?

    ...

I guess i'm not too worried on math because i have a brother who i cna just copy off as he sits right next to me, and i get a notecard with the final so i think i can atleast do good. (D Or C)

    I'm more worried about english. It's a 100 question grammar + 100 question literature test with a 5 paragraphed essay -_-.
