Alrighty, A recent post in the donators lounge has sparked me to post this.

I'm curious as to why we (As humans) associating colours with Genders.

I.e. Pink and Purple are steriotypical to being a Female colour...

    Discuss.

I agree. Purple is a great colour, and actually isn't supposed to be a 'female' colour. The reason it's associated with females is because of the Queen. Purple is, traditionally, a 'majestic' colour. This has been distorted due to the British monarch having been female for so long.

    I lub purple.

People just do. It's human nature, just as it's a part of our nature to judge by looks. Everyone has at least a little bit of racism inside of them.

And the first thing that always come to mind when you see pink is 'girly'. All the TV shows you see when you're a kid also makes you stereotype with colors.

Yeah. Such as "pink", "pretty", "glitter". These are all 'girly' things.

    Haha...well, Google Nympho Definition.

and she's wearing that shirt because I got given it at Borgore live, who has a song - Nympho.

Gurt, Should it be that way though? Why can't people accept some Males want to where Pink/Purple? ( obviously they can were it but get judged etc)

And If a female wheres Blue which is a stereotypical male colour they don't get judged. Seems strange.

Don't you think that's a bit stupid. Suppose as you stated TV has a lot to do with it from an early age. Guess its just not the 'Norm'

In my opinion, pink and purple look disgusting on most men and I'm sure that's why many people look down on them because they share the exact opinion.

Blue on girls, however, does not.

A lot of things in the world are stupid. Best we can do is disregard them.
