How much to manipulate

How much would one need to manipulate an item such as Ancient Staff?
20m? 100m? 1b?
you can only get the staff from completing the quest or as a drop and it has been manipulated in the past to 100k+.

Enough money to take out enough ancient staffs to where the demand > supply for awhile. In other words, A LOT. Possibly 20b

You wouldn't need that much cash. What you need is accounts. You would need around 2b split between 10 accounts (members) for items that are less commonly traded. The ge limit is the problem

 

just wondering because I see some clans trying but idk how much those people really have to know if it will work.

 

Its a poor choice for an item. Since you can autocast ancients people either use water staff or staff of light making ancient staffs low on demand.

If you don't have an army of merchanters each with 2bil + dont bother with it.

ancient staves are still a very commonly used item because it has a %10 dmg boost without a hefty price tag

OT: I guess I underestimated how much money you would need. Seems kind of low for the % return over time unless you doubled it or something insane.

 

I really don't see it being worth it. Especially since you would need to purchase members on multiple accounts.

Your best bet is to pick something everyone wants AND needs. Newly released items are best. Wait s few updates and something will come along.

 

I have a feeling that someone is already hoarding TONS of rares. prob will dump at the end of summer when kids start buying them.

 

Hoarding items requires you to have anywhere from 10-100b.
Depends how expensive the item is. For Ancient staffs probably around 15b.

I would suggest not putting all your money in one thing though.

I would never touch Ancient Staffs as a merch/manip item.
As there are TONS of hoarders out there, who are just hoarding the shit out of Ancient Staffs, waiting for people like yourself, to start buying them up.
