Literally run. I'm homophobic but in a non-aggressive way (I don't beat the living crap out of those who are gay). However, i do have some extreme views on homosexuality that i won't be talking about here.
Not 1% of the population are gay, so the fact this stranger is saying i'm hawt is just like. He's asking for trouble/attention

Still same thing. I'd be disgusted and just assume the queer is just attention seeking.

 

As stated above, accept the comment, just let him know your straight basically

 

Take the comment, possibly say "Thanks for letting me know". Just because they acknowledge you're good looking doesn't mean they're on to you either. Like said above just accept it, and let them know that you're not homosexual.

 

Has happened. I simply told him I don't appreciate comments like that from guys straight out. He understood. I ended up being friends with him.

 

I'd just say thanks and be on my way before something weird happens, well weirder than that.

 

To all of you:

If the opposite sex said the same thing, I'm sure you would feel pretty good about yourself. Would you get the same feeling about it with the same sex?

If not, why?

 

I was actually put in this situation, I just kinda laughed, and shrugged it off. I'm not going to act like an idiot, and go off on them. It didn't make me angry, or upset, just made it really awkward between me and that person.

 

I'd take it as a compliment, but explain that I'm straight.

 

I'd be as flattered as I would if a straight girl told me I'm attractive.

 

Just take the compliment? Rather than make a big deal about it, if your a homophobe, just say thanks and move on.

Personally, I would just as flattered if a girl told me I was attractive. I tell my guy friends they look good all the time. Nothing homosexual about being able to appreciate a good looking human, is there?

My thoughts exactly. A compliment is a compliment.

 

Just the general "Thanks" would be nice and return the compliment as a form of generosity. You could tell if he was hitting on you if he tries to approach you more often but if it was just a nice comment i'd do what I stated above.
