RSC Memories

RSC was so awful lol, the game was soooo glitchy and laggy..

 

i'll remember this.

 

Wow this thread of other people's memories is bringing back so many memories myself. Very nice thread. It's actually kind of depressing to read. I miss rsc. I miss "having fun" instead of 'maximizing in-game time.'

 

She male wasnt a glitch btw, it was a packet filtering hacked widely used in accordance with WPE Pro

Honestly, I never understood why people "think so fondly" of Runescape Classic. I played it for about 3 minutes when they reopened it last year, and I couldn't stand it.

 

the phat dup was sick man.. I miss those times.

 

How has no one mentioned sleeping bags? I honestly thought they should have kept those, always having to keep an eye on your fatigue then enter the random code when you're resting.

 

The fun thing about RSC is that everyone who played it would always learn new things, there was fun actually playing with the other members, the new updates that jagex created, the things you would explore.

Now in rs2 it's just each skill has a certain efficent way to train it, for example using frost dragon bones on your house alter, people in rs2 just keep their chats off and just train, doing the same thing over and over for weeks on end, it just kills the concept of the gaming community, it's supposed to be fun

Basically: It's one of those had to be there moments, any real RSC player will agree with me when I say it was the best.

 

Easy decision - Mage / Melee pking (where you could do both at once), and being killed for my black platelegs. I was running round the house screaming.

 

Omg i remember how only 1 person could talk to each npc at a time XD

 

I remember i never could find my inventory options etc when i played it when they re-opened.
It was kinda annoying but i understand that real player's have positive experiences with RSC ^_^

Also, could someone tell me more about the Phat Dupe, and how much there was made with it?
I think a Phat wasn't worth so much back then?

 

Phats were not worth much, however they were still one of the most expensive items in the game. Some guy discovered a glitch where you could duplicate items. He did it himself many times with partyhats, and eventually told a friend. From there the word just got around. Jagex found out about the Dupe too but did not know how to fix it, and was offering free membership for a year to anyone who could explain to Jagex how the dupe worked. Many people then came forward and told Jagex. So Jagex fixed the dupe.

Pink partyhats (Which is purple now) were the most expensive at the time, so everyone duplicated those. That's why they are now the cheapest, as theres so many ingame due to dupes.

Many people were banned, but even more got away with the dupe.

 

When pking not being able to run untill 3 hits have passed. If your/their on low hp on the last hit its very intense.

Well,after RS2,Pking yellow phat and LOSING.Fml Fml.

 

Logging in, doing the tutorial, leaving the game for good.

 

Played rs2 for about 2 years and decided to play a bit of Rsc
