16 year old and 14 year old.

So I met this girl over facebook, she lives a city down from me. She is really cute but I just realized she is still in 8th grade. (graduating this week).
My school ended last Friday but I guess you could say I'm still a sophomore.
But next year I'll be a junior and she will be a freshman.
So does this seem right to you guys. I'll be driving us to the mall and I feel like if I see any friends on our date they might laugh and think I'm a little weird.

Thoughts?

 

Its only a 2 year difference TBH. It depends, did she JUST turn 14? are you about to turn 17? If it gets where she's freshly 14 and you're 17 that would be weird in my opinion just because 14 is a young age.

Now if it were like 18 and 20 year olds it wouldn't be a big deal at all.

 

I turned 16 in January and she turned 14 in march. So if we were together for that long. ( which I doute ) Then id be 17 while she is 14 for about 2 months.
But its not going to be serious. Just for the summer.

 

You should be worried it isn't some man if you met "HER" on the internet.

 

I don't see a problem with it. If people laugh at you, then they are douche bags for that.

I don't think anyone should have a problem with it. My friends mom is 14 years younger than her husband.

 

It's honestly fine. Think in 10 years it wouldn't be a problem (26 and 24).

do what u want dude, but be careful. With a girl that young, you have to make sure she doesn't have crazy parents, and she is well below the age of consent for sex. You don't know if she could go and tell her parents u raped her.

 

i feel semi along the lines of this, although in my opinion just go for it if it feels right. but just on a less extreme side of what Zak said, just be careful of her parents. If they feel their daughter is even in the slightest bit of danger when she is going out with you, they could possibly call the police.

I've been with my fiancee for nearly 5 years now, I'm 21 now, and she is 18.

So I was 16, and she was 13.
We are 2 and a half years apart from eachother.


But, she's very mature and unlike most girls her age, so it was just fine.

I was laughed at a few times and called a child molester (Or Chester for short)
But now, 5 years later, I don't give a shit We're getting married sooner or later so whatever.

Well, I read the first few words and I'm like.... Wow. Meeting someone over Facebook is a bit dodgy but the age difference isn't that bad. I know quite a few 16 year olds going out with 14-15 year olds. It's not that dodgy unless she looks like she is 10. If she looks 15-16 then tell your friends that they couldn't do better . I personally know a 14 year old with a 18 year old and that is really dodgy.

 

This, you could be actually hooking up with a child molester and has got a random pic of a 14 year old girl and put it on facebook... Ask her to cam, then proceed to ask her to wave or something so you know she's not a gif. No, the age difference isn't that big of a gap, so it's fine.

 

My Junior and Senior year of high school I took a freshman to prom/dated briefly. Its no big deal. My friends were actually impressed by it. (They were both pretty damn hot)
