Stellar Dawn and the price of RSGP.

Recently, Jagex announced that Stellar Dawn is in its "Alpha" stage. This is a stage in game development right before open/closed beta. It appears that Stellar Dawn might soon (within the year?) be released. What I have been thinking is, how will this affect the price of RS gold?

I know that once Stellar Dawn comes out, I will play RS even less than I already do. I really just get on to PK about twice a week.

I imagine the price of gold will go even lower than it is now. So I've pretty much cashed out and sold over 2b of RS gold and made myself a healthy sum.

What do you guys think?

Up? Down? No effect? Depends on how good the game is?

It's difficult to say. the avarice playing age of rs is higher then a fwe years ago. most of the 'old veterans' are now selling gp to the younger kids who're playing.

Stellar Dawn is coming out on the end of this year. It's a totally different game since it's sience fiction. Also the game will be much more complicated since they're involving races to characters. This will only attract 'old veterans' coz the gameplay is too difficult for younger pll. In my opinion Jagex is using a great strategy. The younger pll will be going on since they love the game, the veterans have a new way to spend theit time, maybe they'll spend less time on selling gold.

However this is only one thought of me, I'm interested in other thoughts. plz post

 

I'd say it will keep on dropping, as the goldfarmers are milking this game dry as it is.

 

The more gp drops the more mass goldfarmers can't afford to farm.

 

Looking at the quality of jagex' updates this year so far, I doubt that stellar dawn will be any good.

 

hmmm well people (p mods, jmods as ive read) are gonna be bot hunting, if theres less bot there will be less gold available in the market ? who knows might rise might drop ...

 

The value of RuneScape gold is falling, even slightly, each day.

The release of StellarDawn will not change this fact.

The new game won't affect the price of GP.

You have to remember, this is the exam period and there is hardly anyone playing compared to a few months back.

Within a few weeks there should be a huge increase in the number of players, more demand for gold, the RS economy should improve too.

When free trade came back.. everybody dumped their wealth that they had been accumulating - this would cause a crash in Gold value - hopefully it will stabilise and rise soon.

 

I think the summer will increase the price since more people would like to buy gold. Also the 'dumping' of rs gold since free trade is back has already happened. nice thought mate!

 

Didn't gold crash after free trade because of the limit removal? + loads of goldfarming bots.
