RuneScape coming to an end?

I started a new account recently and the entire F2P world is bots and leaves no room for new players to train, it's literally impossible and Jagex have basically given up on bots so no new players are going to come into the game.. The only option is to remove free trade, which is sad.

 

I think jagex feels their competing against others, so they continue to force shit down our throats. I wish they would do a player poll : Should we continue to update RuneScape. Ofcourse the gold farmers would say YES with new ways to make cash, the 5% of players that have "fun" would vote YES, and Id say atleast 68% would vote NO.

TBH the memberships would be cheaper, I'd still play the game, and yeah the game is already ruined, but atleast it couldn't get any worse.

So basically RS came to an end first around the 50% MSB spec nerf then shortly after the Ancient Magiks release.

 

Coming from someone who doesn't bot, it makes it look like time spent training is almost a waste. I won't leave the game for good and will stay to the end regardless, I still have other legit friends I talk to/legit people I run into, so there's hope in my eyes.

Anyway guys, Runescape is far from "dead" because there is thousands of members paying to play every month and with Jagex raking in the profits, I don't see that ending any time soon.

 

That doesn't really mean much, because for all we know 3/4ths of those people could be botters. It just comes down to the fact that people are resorting to less traditional gameplay by botting and buying RSGP. It is much harder to enjoy the game now when there is little sense of accomplishment and everyone has wealth. Not the mention how annoying it is to see everywhere you go in Runescape overrun by botters.

 

I think mod mmg is to blame. You can't properly run such a dynamic game as runescape without having A LOT of prior knowledge. Him being 1,100 total or whatever the hell makes me laugh.

I think rs is headed towards where diablo 2 is now, bots running it. If we're not there already.

I played legit for 7 years until i found botting this year. I now own 5 bots and have 3 memberships 2 of which farm gold for rl cash. The grinding system isn't the best, and i think the skills should have a larger tie to eachother.

But for now, with horrible update after horrible update, i will continue to farm gold and not play on my main account. I'm part of the problem, but we need a major game changer, and my blame goes to mod MMG and the investors of runescape who seek profit.

i doubt anyone here knows exactly or even approximately how much bots are on runescape at anytime of the day. The day runescape dies is the day sythe dies.

 

It's really quite easy to tell.

Just check the number of people online when an update is announced, and compare it to the number of people online ~20 minutes after the update.

 

How do you know if the people that don't log back in just left there computer or are doing something else?

 

100K people, 70K bots.

 

I can rarely enjoy RuneScape anymore. The only time I enjoy it is when I'm pking. I don't feel it's worth leveling my skills legit on my pures/tanks for the fact that everyone can get those stats botting. If I'm not pking I'm basically not playing RuneScape legit. Sometimes I'll stake a little too but the fun of RuneScape has really faded from me personally.

I agree with this. Free trade ruined brought Runescape to it's lowest level. I support re-enstating the trade limit.

I see a ton of legit players, not botting ect. But yet again im always bossing or doing clan events/clan wars.

 

Its funny to look how many players there are after an update and when bots are not working. I don't have any exact numbers but its sooo many less people online.

 

i remember a game my irl friends played Silkroad had SOOOOOO many bots and the company got rid of most of them idk how but they did so i hope jagex does this

 

Free trade has everything to do with the downfall of RS.

That's one of the reasons as to why there's an increase in more bots, gold companies spamming in W1.

If there's ever a need for a "report an idiot button" you would be the first example that comes to mind.


OT: It's been going downhill since they originally removed the Wild/PK.

It's pretty boring for me. I just pk, quest, and dice.

Nothing else to do IMO.
