Wah. You need half a gig per bot at the most

Running 24/7 wouldn't decrese the lifespan of a cpu unless your letting it clock at 50+ degrees all the time.

I have a dual core computer with 1 gig of RAM, and it's 5+ years old. I can run 4 SG bots with settings all the way to the left without problems or lag. I can run up to 7 or 8 with all the settings to the right.

You also have to factor in that he is using an autominer which is way less resource intensive than SG or SW, so he should be just fine.

Personally, I wouldn't run a single bot on a laptop because from my experience they overheat very easily.

However, the best option IMO would have to be the Sony.

I've had two HP laptops and one of the screens broke (shitty plastic parts) and the other had a software problem.

Don't worry about "burning" your processor up from running bots.

Each laptop computer you buy will be perfectly capable to keep the processor cooled running at 100% use so long as you do not set it on a bed. or something really soft. If you leave it on a desk or table it will be fine.

One of the laptops with the i5 processor is the way to go.

Acer, Sony, and HP are all great options.

You should look into online websites instead of Walmart though. Newegg, Tigerdirect, and Fry's are all solid websites that are worth checking out. Fry's is actually a chain that specializes in electronics (If online isn't an option). Basically, you want the best for your money, and Walmart is not an electronics store <.<

Also you might want to look into a current offer by Microsoft. It only applies for college students, but if you buy any laptop over $699 that has windows 7 installed, you get a free X-box 360. You'll need an email with a .edu address or a student ID, of course.

Edit: If you are planning on running that many bots, you should look into a VPS. There is absolutely no reason to run that many bots off a laptop when a VPS is a cheap alternative...

    I just bought a r700 toshiba 13.3".
It cost me about 1.5 AUD
This is a portable laptop and extremely fast.
Lenovo and Toshiba are very good priced machines I would look at laptops with min 8gb ram and quad core i7.

I won't buy Toshiba again. I've had numerous problems with the product, and customer service.

I can run up to 8-9 bots on a Pentium 4 w/HT 3.2 ghz @ 4 ghz equipped PC with 4 GB of RAM. Thats just a single core too. A ~2 ghz core 2 duo can run twice as many bots altogether.

    2-6 is the sweet spot.
