What are the PIN's people keep selling?

I log onto this and check the threads and see people selling PIN's but I have no idea what they are so can anyone enlighten me on this?

 

Are you talking about Runescape membership pins?

 

I'm not quite sure, I would assume they mean membership pins. Although they shouldn't be selling those, considering it is against the rules.

 

The only 'PINs' I know of are called 'UPGRADES', they are used to upgrade your Runescape or FunORB membership.

 

You see, people are not selling Pins, but sellings ''Pins''. You get it? You need to say it with an accent.

You do not need to talk about Pins, but call them Upgrades, probably because of Jagex rage against pin sellers I think.

 

Yeah it USED to be pins back in the day, I wasn't around when everyone suddenly started calling it an "upgrade". But either way it's runescape membership you're buying.

 

Instead of selling you the code that you would use to upgrade your account, the sellers are now required to apply the code to your account themselves. That is why it is in the "User Services" section.

A PIN is a Runescape membership upgrade. It's called an upgrade to avoid trouble with the law.

 

not true, you need to have it scanned to activate it first.

 

Not always true. People are legit and manage to make a profit off them without breaking the law.

 

all PINs are gotten illegally, it costs more to buy them then people sell for on here.
