ok guys sorry if i dont have this in the correct thread, and if a mod see's this and its in wrong section could you move it to correct one please!

ok guys I bought a guide on how to make 1b a week from a user named macanicmage who is now banned by plznate

I bought the guide as I saw a few trusted/veteran sythe users buy it aswell and said it did have potential to make money although it was somewhat 'unethical', I then continued to add him on msn and asked a few questions which were.

1. Is everything done ingame?
2. What is your avg income with this method?

he told me it was all done in rs and that he had amde 160m in 20mins.

he then continued to warn me saying

1. I must have patience for this method
2. I must be intelligent and able to improvise
3. it is not illegal but its not ethical either

after he explained that i asked him 1 final question which was

WILL THIS IN ANYWAY GET ME BANNED ON SYTHE??

he said no so it all sounded fine and dandy i went to pay the $40 usd he then gave me the guide which turned out to be more unethical than i had thought, but there was a chance for money to be made.​

SO MY MAIN POINT/QUESTION I WANT ANSWERED IS AM I IN TROUBLE FOR BUYING THIS GUIDE??? will i recieve a ban ??

No one can really tell you if what you are doing is allowed or not since i'm assuming most of us haven't purchased this guide, and you telling us what it consists of would be leaking the guide (bannable offense.)

As ministation posted, just read over the rules carefully. You should get an idea of whether or not what you are doing is against Sythe rules.

 

Yea thanks ive been choosing carefully what i say just incase its classed as leaking the guide so i havent said anything about it . just hoping for a mod to read this and give me there perspective. in my view i havent broken any rules but doesnt hurt to re-assure myself, but thanks alot for the info

 

No you wont get into trouble for buying the guide, i was one of the people semi vouching for the guide, i felt oblidged to vouch as he warned me constantly about it being unethical. I should have reported it instantly instead i didn't.

I can also assure you that you will be banned if caught doing what the guide says, i honestly didn't even try as i CBF to organize that much shit lol.

LOL yea i saw you vouch/buy it but i didnt think it was that unethical and i was lured in when you said "it has potential to make big money" or something along those lines haha and neither i dont have the patience for it and its abit to complicated anyway so i wont be doing it i dont want to jeopardize my sythe, im in the stages of applying for community assitant xD.

But i do have a question for a mod is it ok to chargeback for this? get a refund on the guide? or is that classed as scamming? i would like my $40usd back haha but if its classed as scamming i wont even consider it

 

If he is banned, won't compromise and you feel that the guide is not what you expected, I believe a chargeback would be appropriate. This is assuming you have tried to contact the seller for an explanation or partial refund first, of course.

 

Hiya yup ived pmed Nate asking him about a chargeback but i still havent heard back from him and the banned user says he will not refund so im in a bind just waiting on a highly ranked staff member to answer . ty for thoughts
