6 months and 4 days later...

I'm going to appeal my TWC.


I'm under the assumption that most people who will end up reading this are already aware of how I managed to obtain a TWC, but I will reiterate the events anyway for the sake of coherence.

They are as follows:
In mid April, 2010,
- Bought purple phat for $40, wanted to upgrade to yellow.
- Found seller, traded purple + $20 for 2 easters.
- Eggs crashed. Buyable at min in exchange.
- I felt like I had been scammed my $20 as well as phat ($40 value at the time), so I attempted a Paypal chargeback on the $20.
- Chargeback failed, I forgot about the issue and tried to work my way back up on Sythe.
Skip ahead 7-and-a-half months, and I posted in the Request High Pardon forums recounting these same events. Pen gave me a TWC for my actions, telling me that I would be able to appeal to have it removed after six months.

That being said, those six months are now over and I wish to have this TWC removed.

I don't really know what belongs in an appeal of a TWC, but I'm guessing that a few examples of good character and trading history would suffice?

Truth be told, the TWC never really hindered me from doing anything as most of the time while attempting to trade someone, I was able to convince them that the TWC was not really deserved in the first place (besides the fact that I seem to have had somewhat of a good reputation in the first place).

Nonetheless, of my 97 total vouches, 25 were obtained during the six months for which I've had the TWC. Evidence of these can be found in my vouch thread, http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?p=6181016. I would also like to mention that out of these vouches, I used a MM once and went first only 5 times. Additionally, I conducted my largest trade to date (account for $450) without any major difficulties, and feel that I could have probably gotten more money for the account had I asked for it.

So, then, even though I had a TWC, most of the people with whom I traded didn't really take it all too seriously. I would assume that this is an indication that the TWC either didn't do it's job, or that people felt I was merely unfortunate in receiving this TWC, as opposed to being malicious or otherwise dangerous to them. Hence, this should be reflected in my appeal as such.

I've also remained active on Sythe throughout the period during which I held the TWC. It's not as though I went on a long 6 month vacation and simply avoided the TWC - no, I actively participated in the forums and continued to trade as I normally would (as is reflected above). Thus, I feel I've served my sentence and that this appeal is indeed justified.

Finally, I'd like to reiterate the fact that I obtained this TWC for coming out, on my own behalf and without any sort of pressuring from anyone, about an attempted but failed scam for which there was little to no evidence and with which I probably could have gotten away indefinitely. I freely chose to explain this attempted scam because it had been nagging at me for quite some time prior. For this and only this, I was given the TWC.


P.S.
I requested in my original high pardon thread (http://sythe.org/showthread.php?p=7538690) that pending my being pardoned, the edited vouch which presented the only inkling of evidence of my actions be removed. If the TWC is finally removed, I would venture to say that I have been pardoned. As such, I would request that if the removal of my TWC is successful, this vouch also be deleted. I've stalked determinate for a while now, he and I used to be quite good friends, and I know despite his mistake, he has been an excellent user on the forums with great, consistent contributions in almost all sections. I promise I actually read high pardons before I vote on them, this case excluded ; )
