48 hours before bumping topic?

There are forum rules that make it so you are only allowed to bump your post every 24 hours, but, if you try to bump a post 24 to 48 hours after the topic is new, an error occurs that says you can not post until after 48 hours or until after someone replies to the thread. If nobody replied to the thread in the first 24 hours, than you can't bump it until after 48 hours. I have ran into this problem a few times in the marketplace. Is it possible to change the time from 48 hours to 24 hours?

 

If no one posted on it in 48hours, I doubt anyone would be interested, but then again it's not on the first page anymore.

However, I've had some people post on my stuff when it's on the 2nd, 3rd and even 4th page.

 

I think it should stay at 48 hours. And I think this should be implemented in other places such as the GFX Sales and giveaways forum. There are multiple people there bumping their threads every 15 - 20 hours and it's very annoying going to a thread thats 90% OP.

 

It should stay the way it is. There are so many thread in the marketplace that if the time decreases there would be nothing but people bumping there topics.

 

Nothing should change. If you need it to be bumped that badly get a chat buddy to do it maybe, but still thats frowned upon.
