    I just remembered the password to an old account which has 800+ climbing boots on it.. the only problem is that it's banned for website advertising... I'm hoping to appeal for the account and then make money from the boots. :p

    I think your chances are good, if it's a really old account then Jagex might be leniant. My friend got banned years ago for botting (it was perm ban), sent an appeal just weeks ago and got accepted.

    yes, I did get perm banned for website advertising and this account is like 3 years old.

    Well, hopefully you can manage to get that account unbanned. It would be pretty nice to return back on an account with that much wealth that came from out of nowhere. Good luck with the appeal. On another note, I find it odd that you received a perm ban for website advertising. I was always under the impression that website advertising just resulted in a perm mute.

    now it is. It used to be a perm ban. I was advertising a friend's gold farming website and then boom banned. I sent the appeal in hopefully it will come through.

    The longer ago the offence was committed the better chance you have on recovering it. As for the appeal just tell them you've learned your lesson.

    Because of the past update doesn't it reset your rock climbing boots that offer strength bonus stack to 1 and give you the rest as normal untradable climbing boots?
