    What they mean is there are others ways to get cash whit lower banning risk than flax, and even more profit/h.
    Then with that faster earned cash, you can buy flax, faster than you can bot it.
    But to know for sure your stats need to be known. Also it's more fun to read a random thread if stats are involved.

    Then people have something to comment on.

    Here is what I would do.

    - Bot whatever you want for money on different accounts.
    - Put together about 50m or skip step 1 and just buy it on sythe.
    - Get 52 prayer at a guilded altar
    - Get range to 94 either through a mixture of chinning and botting Soul Wars
    - Get your smithing to 30
    - Superheat steel until you have 94 mage
    - Complete Desert treasure

    Now you have a decent hybrid that could dominate high wilderness for its level.
