Don't allow msn name in UT

I don't think you should allow to be able to put MSN's in your user title, due to the common msn hacks. Requesting a user title change isn't instant either. Not sure if this has been requested before or not.

http://sythe.org/member.php?u=101341 - I'm using feren silver as an example. Has msn in his user title. Feren's msn has been hacked before. Him being banned has nothing to do with this example.

I actually suggested that people should have them in their UT.
But I suppose you do have a wonderful point, it can take up to a week+ to get your ut changed.


But even then, you're responsible for your msn no matter what.

 

Support, a good suggestion. This should be written in a thread where do you need to change your User Title.

 

I support this. It usually takes the Admins a couple of days, if not weeks to go through the User title requests. I don't see that many people with their emails in their titles, however I do see it and usually it is more well known / trusted members. So if a msn hacking or user gets banned it generally takes a long time for them to get changed. I support.

Although another solution would possibly update / clean up the titles more often. Although the admins are usually pretty busy. Possibly give some globals the power to do it? Or does that require admin cp access?

 

We usually know when someone has been hacked so obviously their MSN will be removed as soon as we know. Those kinds of things are top priority and will be taken care of right away. I see no problem with it.

 

Its really no different than having a known msn address.
