What is the 6 hour logout?

I bot every night for atleast 10 hours, and I haven't been logged out once, unless there is a game update.
What is all this talk about jagex logging you out after 6 hours?

you get logged out every 6 hours automatically, you probably just don't notice since the bot logs you back in

 

Really, never happened to me unless when i'm on POH.

 

Never really witnessed it but then agian i dont pay much attention so might be true posibily

 

I've encountered it numerous times. I can assure you that it does happen at regular six-hour intervals.

 

Yep, seen it a couple of times (however ironic it may sound, I play legit). It even happens when you are in combat which can be scary if you are doing bandos solo or something. But if you just log to lobby real quick the 6 hour timer resets.

 

I have seen it multiple times; the bot just re-logs it's not a big deal On autofightpro from rsbots.net I have watched the bot log itself out actually at around 5 hours 55 minutes and then just re-log so it didn't get the timer, which is kind of surprising.

 

I dont put my user or pass into the bot clients and they run for over 6 hours :S Sometimes i check and see that they have logged out, it musnt happen everytime or something?

 

I've never encountered this during my countless hours of playing.

 

From what I know it doesn't log you out COMPLETELY it just puts you back in the lobby where you can just click on the Play button again

Yes, I can confirm it does happen. The only reason you don't know it is happening is because your bot will automatically log you back into the game after you get sent to the lobby. If you were to stay and watch you would see, or you could just look through your logs for your bot. It will show it too.

 

Disconnecting for a few seconds probably resets the timer too without having to enter a username and password again.
