Well guys, Most my tutorials are targeted at using unix, linux, or general security.

Today however, I have something a little less serious in mind. I'll be showing you a neat little prank you can pull over on the websites the teachers have you visit in school. Or perhaps even fool your friends!

About this Guide
This guide is a small tutorial on using harmless javascript injection to temporarily edit the contents of a web page on the client's side. This WILL NOT hack a website, it merely customized the content displayed on a user's (your) computer.​

Open up a web browser, doesn't matter what browser you use, and open up any website you feel like editing. I suggest opening up notepad and making 2 entries.

First entry::
javascript:document.body.contentEditable='true'; document.designMode='on'; void 0

Second Entry::
Copy and paste the url of the web page you are going to edit.

Once you have done that, copy/paste the javascript entry into the url and hit enter. You will be able to change the content of the page. When you are finished, copy the origional URL back into place. That way your teacher/friend won't know you edited anything =P.

Well guys, that's essentially it for this guide. You'll get red wavy underlines for miss spelled words when you're editing. Simply right-click and de-select the "spellcheck this field" box. It's just a real quick easy way to fool your friends/teachers. Use common sense.. don't do anything stupid. Don't use this to scam (you will be caught and found guilty)
