Lighting seems off. The isn't really much of a direction for flow. Left side is kind of empty. Not much depth. Keep working on it It's a good start

I agree with all that Justin had to say. Although, to add a bit more, the render itself seems way to oversharpened -- so sharpened that it's gotten to the point of distortion. It's either that, or the raw render was terrible quality. As far as the 'Eminem' text on v2, it is nice. I don't necessarily agree with the placement of the text though. Keep working at it. You're well on your way. I hope my feedback helped.

Well, I'm not sure. But maybe change the style of 'minem' part of the text so it will work/contrast better with the background.

 

This any better? I've also removed some of the sharpen on the render.

I really like your second attempt, the only thing I'd say to change is where it says 'WD' actually put 'World Domination' as I believe it will make the sig more yours. Up to you though man. Great sig, anyway!

 

Yes, much better. The last thing would be to add a 3-6 pixel border to the top and bottom (black).. if you want.

 

I'm not a fan of borders at all, but I'll add one in PS and see how it looks.

I'm liking the 3rd border. Not a HUGE tip, but the little part of the c4d/render that extends onto his face from the right side, I'd shave it off to only go over his hat. Just the way I'd go with that little piece.

I don't really like how the opacity seems to be lowered on some parts of the render. That's generally a no-no unless you want him to look like a ghost :laugh:

 

I like the third one. And yeah, I'm into graphics.

The left side of this hat comes together weird.
It's kind of opaque and odd looking.
It's odd, maybe try blending it?

Really nice sig, however for some reason I am drawn to the C4D effect by his head :S

 

I'm going to give you some pretty tough critique here mate. Don't take it wrong at all I'm trying to help.

I'm not really feeling the white smudging you have going on on the far left. You're corners should normally be darker than the center because of the eyes focus on brighter color's rather than darker colors. Lose the text it's drawing even more focus and is bringing the tag down by a lot. Overall the effects seem to be pretty messy and not well thought out. Before making a tag try to sit down with the stock/render you've chose and open up which effect's you'll be using to create the tag. Think for 10-30 minutes about where you want your effects and how you would like them to flow nicely. Be sure to keep all the components of a tag in mind (flow,lighting,depth,quality,etc.) while you're doing this. Doing that will make your piece seem more thought out and look much nicer than it does atm.

I recommend you visit some graphics forums such as FringeFx.net Planetrenders.net and download some nice PSD's to see in depth of what I'm talking about here.
