New to PvM

Hi guys, I wanna get more into PvM. these are my stats:
99 herblore
79 atk
79 str
79 def
80 hp
60 prayer
70 range
81 mage

I am soloing/teaming Giant Mole currently and did some barrows before.
Is there any monster that has good drops that I can tackle?
My equipment has around +320 slash/crush/stab defence if that helps and with super set my lvls go to 95 and with extremes they go to 101.

 

I don't think there are many unless your willing to solo 1-3 bandos kills.
You could try King Black Dragon though.

 

I would stick to barrows. You could try bandos with a team but I wouldn't recommend trying to solo with those stats

 

I thought of KBD but the drops are the same, if not better for Giant Mole.

 

Well i will be like everyone else and say get dungeoneering up along with one more attack level and do frosts

 

Defiantly use Extremes/OVL's so you can get the best possible levels as it will make the monster a lot easier to kill. Wear gear which relates to the monster attacking styles, also use weapons in which the monster is week against. Their weaknesses can be seen on RSWiki. You should really get at least 70 prayer for piety. Monster wise, you could maybe try God wars (Bandos) with a small team and in time you'll get better and better with experience. Best of luck!

Bandos with a team would be hard, when i used to be in OTG we used to rock up in maxed gear and duo out a group 5 others lol. Its also hard to find a free bandos world.

I recommend that you always use super/extremes when PVMing, think of it as an investment. Also keep selling your drops and restocking up on stuff like super restores, prayer pots, sara brews and rocktails. I think its crazy you have 99 herb , if you want to take PVM seriously your going to need to max out be be allowed to join the beast teams.

Till then barrows is your best bet, mole is useless tbh.

I agree I think bandos will be hard, plus finding a team and a free world, its not worth the trouble at my level.

Also my Slayer level is 58, I can't really do anything for cash there, right?

I'm working on getting my stats to 85 and prayer to 70. just gotta build a g altar first.

another thing, how much should my kill count be at barrows?

 

Some people think the high the kill count the better, some think otherwise personally i never made much from barrows as i was always at KQ back then but when i did go i used to just kill all of the brothers and get to the chest. I think the quicker you do the floors the more money you can possably make per hour. Just a thought tho.

 

I personally got close to nothing with 0 kills, around 20k in loot from 10 kills and around 70-80k with 30 kills. I don't think gaining killcount really takes a while so I'm just not sure what I should go with.

 

Back in 05 or 06 i cant remember when i used to go, just opening the chest used to pay back all your death runes from slayer darting also used to get other junk like bolt racks. Just stick at it or go to bandits an train ur ass off an get to the real monsters, i would of also suggested DK's but you have no prayer or range so you will fail there also.

Even better why dont you train your slayer up while doing melee training, go get urself a slayer helm so you get additional bonuses while attacking them and even thought sometimes you get shitty tasks you will be training slayer and melee at the same time. Noone likes slaying when they are maxed trust me haha.

My slayer task is 50 iron dragons I think, cba to look into how to kill/where to kill/high enough level, etc.

and I use black salamander + harralander tar and it pays it off I just hate opening chest for 2k loot when I could spend another 5 minutes for 80k loot.

I'd rather not do bandos, due to the reasons listed, it wouldn't be worth my time. I am open to anything else though. I was thinking about tormented wraiths I think? the things from summers end that drop the holy elixir or something. its like 1.3m. I remember reading you have to wear black armor though.

Minus well look up a guide to it.

Get 70 prayer for piety. It really helps. Get your cb up a few and go to bandos masses

 

My understanding of sara duo and solo's are you need to have terror bird summons and high range to be effective, unless you are both max'ed with claws/bandos/extremes/turmoil then its easy. but at lower level ranging an running around using ruby bolts is the only effective way.

 

I would recommend going to barrows. The drops are good if you have a little luck.
