Need Help With svchost.exe Removal!

So when i open task manager i notice i have 10-11 svchost.exe running. I have no clue what this is but i have looked it up and it seems to be a virus.

I have not found a good guide on how to delete these and my virus scanner does not pick it up as a virus. If you can help i would greatly appreciate it.

Also I use Firefox but when i open task manager explorer.exe is running, is that how is it supposed to be?

Do not delete/end this process. It is not a virus.

 

Explorer.exe equals: taskbar, desktop, and other user interface features. It is not the same as Internet Explorer.

and like said above, svchost.exe is a critical part of windows system and you should not delete it. Sometimes viruses get involved with svchost, but you can run some malware/anti-virus softwares to check if you have any problem with your svchosts.

 

svchost is fine.
svchAst is the one you need to worry about.

 

Alright thanks guys, its just that i know i have viruses on my computer but i can't detect them so i dont know what im going to do.

This pop up called "Just-In-Time Debugging" pops up as soon as i get to my desktop and if i close it, it just comes right back. I think it has something to do with powerbot because it started happening when i used that a long time ago.
