Own a 15k subbed YouTube Account - PROFIT?

Over the past year (or so), I've made about $1500 from my YouTube account; through uploading videos for online businesses/other YouTube users (as advertisement), putting written advertisement in the description of my videos, and using Audioswap on some of my videos for a record label, who paid me to swap to their music.

Anyway, I feel that there are more ways to profit from having 15,000 followers; the nature of my videos is RuneScape related, of my genre I have the most viewed video (with over a million views), and my original RuneScape character (which I've now sold), was a relatively famous character.

So I'm opening this thread to ideas on how to profit from my YouTube channel - alternatively message me if you have any interest in going into some sort of profit partnership, or would like to advertise on my channel.

Hey in regards to your youtube account! I thnk organizing poker tournaments using rsgp with the use of your massive fanbase would generate profits! 5% could be kept as a fee from the finall pot for managing the service. Check out my siggy!

 

The problem with that is that Jagex can pick up on it and give me a strike on YT

Jagex doesnt own youtube. How would you get a strike? its not real world trading, just playing.

 

Jagex can shut down pretty much anything they want to related to runescape. Though rarely do they even bother though.

 

I've got two strikes on YouTube, one of which is for putting a video of a bug on, can't remember the other one but it wasn't anything particular bad I'd done. This was a while back, but it does mean that if I get one more strike my YouTube account gets suspended, so it's a bit of a risk.

Be careful, alot of hackers are trying to steal youtube accounts like those to use them for massive RATing (happened to 1ItemDbow recently). You should get some good protection and just keep doing what you do.

Most likely, when you have several thousand followers there is obviously some revenue going to be available - especially through advertising. I'm just in need of ideas... Think one of the main problems is that I'm currently not producing videos, subs aren't really going up at the mo. May look into selling my YouTube account.

Don't think he'll say it since he stated that he sold his RuneScape account which were in his videos.

 

With 15k subbers and I'm guessing you have 1m+ total views, you should be able to EASILY get a partnership

my friend got one with like 2,000 subbers and 75,000 total video views

 

I can't become a partner, just like all the other RS YouTube users cannot become partners - to become a partner you must upload original content, and RS is owned by Jagex so I don't fulfil this criteria. Also, as I no longer produce videos I highly doubt I'd be given a partnership. Maybe if I start producing videos again of a more original nature a partnership may be possible, but as it stands I don't think this is the case.

My total video views is a little under 2.5 million ...
