PM Notification when Quoted

I like this idea. Speeds conversations up - makes doing trades via sythe only faster.

Exactly. I think something like this would be a HUGE addition to the forum.

 

I support this 100%, and it will also have members keep track of threads they've already made, that way they would not have to make a new one.

I don't have the time or space for pm's being sent to me constantly.

 

I don't want a bunch of PMs spamming my inbox. If this were to be implemented, there should at least be an option that disables it for you.

 

The concept is good, however in reality, this would be somewhat resource intensive. Think about it, there's thousands of quotes a day, if not more, that would add load to an already seemingly unstable server.

This is a good idea, but you'd need a powerful host, as stated above. Also, what if you're an active poster, and get a lot of quotes? I believe that, if you are truly interested in a thread, then you will remember to go back to it, rather than need a notification.

I really like the idea but it has been suggested many times to no avail.

 

If a moderator/administrator were to deny this suggestion, it would be nice if they could post a reason why the suggestion was denied so the community, who generally seems to support the idea, can understand the specific reason against implementation.

Even if this was worth the effort to implement, it has far too much potential for abuse (organized PM flooding) etc.

The Thread Subscription feature works well enough.
