I am saying Boxers would have a lot bigger of a chance to win than MMA fighters. Ray Mercer knocked out Tim Sylvia in 9 seconds. Anderson Silva is 1-1 pro boxing. All fights start on there feet.

An MMA fighter in a boxing ring= beach whale. Almost every MMA fighter have sloppy boxing skills. The ones that have a boxing background are only "good" but not extraordinarily.

Thats what I mean. Mercer, a boxer, ko'ed the former heavyweight champion of the UFC in 7 seconds. Nick Diaz WAS going to fight Jeff Lacy in a boxing match, who even while he is done, would still probably beat him.

 

I would also like to add that older MMA fighters like deluding themselves that they can Box. Hence why you see Big Nog, Couture and etc getting KTFO'd by younger fighters.

 

Have you seen Chuck Lidells power, much more powerful and accurate than Haye.

 

Ok, George St. Pierre, he is not sloppy at boxing, he can jab better than most boxers, if you watch the fight GSP v Koscheck then you'll see how accurate his jab really is.

I said he adapts quickly, I said he didn't train that much because its was much less than a year, he can't just train boxing before a Ufc fight so he didn't have a shit load of training. Actually all you said is that he had a good & accurate jab. He didn't perfect it. If he got in a standup fight with Anthony Johnson he would get KTFO. His chin isn't the best, but it is solid.
