    Good diet food?

Ok so I am going to Spain with a friend for 2 weeks in about 2 months time. At present, I am not brilliantly comfortable with my body and I would like to shed a few pounds before then so I can roam the beaches confidently

So far I have adopted running once or twice a day for about a mile, slowly increasing as I go (not in brilliant shape at present and I don't have much stamina, so I'm working on it). I have decided I want to improve my eating habits too to speed up the process, so I have completely cold turkey'd junk food so far, however I am struggling to find things that are not too bad for you, but are also filling.

So far I have been living on oranges, pasta and toast =| To make matters worse, I am quite a fussy eater, so things like salad etc don't appeal to me at all..

Can anyone recommend me some things I can get to fit my needs? I'd prefer it to be something easy to prepare, something most people like and something available in the UK.

    Much appreciated!

    Good diet food?

Pasta is going to have a lot of carbs so I wouldn't really recommend it.
Wen you run do one long run and thenbdo on day of sprints. Sprint for 30 second walk 60. Cut all soda and chocolate out of your diet. Its useless.
Good fats include nuts and such.
I eat a lot of.chicken for protein. Anything vegetaable or fruit is good really but u don't have that long too diet so do it hard and it will pay off.

    Good diet food?

I read online that pasta usually has a good kind of carbs in it, I may be wrong.

I will try the long run/sprint 30 walk 60, thanks for the advice. However, I cannot go for long so I'm hoping I'll notice improvements kind of fast in this time.

So far I have resisted eating all chocolate/sweets and had a minimal amount of fizzy drink [it's been very hard, not going to lie].

I have found that fruit doesn't fill me up enough and I'm not too fond of vegetables.. Any advice there? Anything that will fill me up but at the same time is good for me and I am likely to like it..

    Thanks.

Dont eat potato, pasta, white bread. Those contains alot of carbs which you dont need if you are trying to lose weight. Eat small portions of food every 2-3hrs, something that gives you energy, vitamins, etc. Drink alot of water, it helps your body to move stuff faster.

yes drinking water does help a lot.
just try to focus on the details of the food your eating.
i use to be about 3-4% bf but i did 3 hours of hard hard excercise and i ate a banana for breakfast, and healthy choice meals for lunch/dinner.

Although im vegetarian, id suggest things like Grilled Chicken on Rice and things along that line. As long as you portion your food at a decent amount and eat healthily i.e. no junk foods, foods high in saturated fat e.t.c. then you should do well especially if you keep up the running. You could also try and do things like situps each morning as well as push ups. Say 10 of each a day to start off with and gradually increase it.

Fruits and veggies. And some fibers too. Look up some foods for building a high metabolism, if you want to lose weight, an easy way is to build a high metabolism imo.

Thanks for the advice. I might try other workouts such as those you listed.

I'm not too fond of vegetables and fruits don't fill me up enough. I will research food that increases metabolism, thanks.

    Good diet food?

This is a runescape forum, you wont get good advice here. There isn't a magical food that will make you lose weight. Calories are calories, you have to burn more calories (energy) than you consume and you'll lose weight. Don't eat fruits and vegetables for your entire diet, good night sweet whatever muscles you have, because they'll be gone if you're eating like that.

    Good diet food?

I've seen plenty of good advice given here, and I wasn't asking for something that will make me lose weight, I was asking for suggestions for things that aren't too high in calories that I might like. What else do you suggest I eat other than fruit and vegetables?

    Good diet food?

Having pasta, oranges and toast is pretty bad for you, you'll need all the nutrients and vitamins and what have you if you want to lose weight healthily.
A good food to help you lose weight is fish, it fastens your metabolism.
What I tend to do when I want to bulk up/lose weight, is just eat what I normally have (minus the junk food) but just eat less of it and exercise more.

Not a fan of fish, and that's the problem, before now I have quite literally lived off of junk food. I'm not sure why I am not ridiculously obese in all honesty. Still open to other suggestions regarding what I could eat.

Oatmeal-high in fiber with little calories. Plus you can add any flavor to it. It's like water.

    Good diet food?

Anything high in fiber and protein will do the job as long as they're not too high in carbs, sugar, or fat. Lean meat, oatmeal, vegetables, fruit, etc. Make sure you have six small meals spread out throughout the day and exercise of course. This will speed up your metabolism and help you shed fat. Like I said before make sure you have a good amount of protein in your diet if you're looking to shed fat and not lose muscle (tone up). If you want to eat something "bad" just make sure you don't do it too often or have too much of it. If you're body isn't used to working out and dieting then you'll see results fairly quickly. I could go much more in depth as I've been working out for over 4 years now, but there's just so much info i could give you. Check out www.bodybuilding.com. When I first started I learned everything I know about exercising and dieting there. Even now I still go on there and learn new stuff.

Celery can actually have negative calories b/c it has 0 calories but you lose a little from chewing.

    Good diet food?

I don't know if it has been mentioned, but I find oatmeal to be a fairly good diet food. It has a lot of fiber and really "fills you up" if you know what I mean for a long time.

    EDIT - Whoops, it has.

Also, eat every 3-4 hours in small portions, this way you can control what you eat, and when you're at meals you aren't starving.
