Do you sit in a trailer all day and talk to satellites?

 

I leave for basic + ait in a month and a half.

The work area would be an airconditioned/heated box on the back of a humvee or tent/building.. making sure the communications is up and running either on a FOB-FOB or FOB-other fixed location.

Just remember that the real army is nothing at all like basic. Don't let it get to your head and just do your job. People and drill sgts are gonna fuck with you all day long, just take it in stride and find a few good friends and keep out of trouble, and nowadays don't drop the soap

Tried to join the Marine Corps, but my medical history would be immediate disqualification at MEPS. I'm still considering lying to them, if I do, I'll just go for officer with the Army, or Navy. I hear becoming an officer in the USMC is extremely hard. I think I'm over the whole "I want to be infantry" thing

No, they won't. I have tourettes, I have 2 inhalers that were prescribed to me when I was younger (not asthma related, a whooping cough I had) I have bad knees, which would be rather difficult to hide at MEPS, because they crack and snap like hell. I could waiver any of these with a 25% chance of it actually getting through, but what are the odds of actually having them all waiverd? I'd rather lie, but I'm not sure yet, it's really not worth the dishonorable discharge, and possible felony charge.

 

Inhalers arent that big a deal, if a deal at all. Knees will be disregarded depending on MoS and if physical exam scores are high enough.

It would be really nice to be in the military. Hopefully in the summer I can volunteer at the military academy. Very excited!
